Hi, I'm looking for a diesel car that is fuel efficient and reliable.

My first choice and max budget choice is '06 Ford Focus 1.6tdci. I would be willing to spend between €6k-€7k on a car of this quality. However, I'd like to know what kind of choices I would have on a lower budget, say €2k-€5k. I love the look of the Focus and I hear the 1.6tdci is an excellent and efficient engine. Also, it would need to be a diesel as my insurance always works out cheaper with a diesel.

So, what choices do I have with these conditions? I've searched old threads on the matter but not much showed up. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: forgot to say, I would be willing to get an older car too
