Hi, I wonder can someone tell me whether I should be ok to drive my car tomorrow? This morning when I turned the engine on there was a beep, there was a message on the multifunction display but all I saw of it was the words "diesel" and "filter" I have consulted the manual and the only thing I can find is about an additive…

Hi,

I have consulted the manual and the only thing I can find is about an additive for the diesel partical emissions filter???? The garage is closed to day so appreciate any advice you may have, the car is up for service in next 300 miles

Seems like the car is in need of a good 15-30 minute drive at higher RPM (i.e, drive in 4th instead of 5th) to clean out the diesel particulate filter.

If your car is driving ok then i wouldn't worry about it until you get a diagnostic check done tomorrow.
Particle filter problems that occur are not harmful to the engine unless left for a long time unfixed.
