Hi all, looking for some advice. I am refinishing a telecaster neck and I am struggling to find the products necessary.

I know ReRanch (USA) and Rothko & Frost (UK) have the products I need like amber tinted spray cans but they will not ship to Ireland (due to the volitile nature of the cans).

I tried antique pine woodstain last night on the raw neck applied with a cloth but the result was poor. I have to sand that out and don't want to have to keep sanding away mistakes. I really like this neck.

Is there anyone in Ireland that sell spray can products that could do the job? BTW I have picked up polyurethane spray to finish the neck in Woodies. Ideally I would like a tinted amber neck. I don't have a spray system and don't want to have to buy one.

I have also read that you can't put polyurethane over a gun oil finish (or any oil finish for that matter). I have had a decal made and want to ensure that it it is well protected otherwise I would go with a gun oil finish. decal below if you want to see.

You could spray the headstock only and oil the rest?
