Here I am with 22k to spend. Fancied a BMW tourer or an Avant. Volvo diesels thin on the ground. Heard all the new ones causing problems. I am interested in performance without pain. I am going for that before the badge. Am i nuts? Honda accord makes sense to me. especially 180 bhp

You like a bit of performance and you want a diesel?

My only suggestion to you would be a 2 or 3 turbo BMW diesel. No other car company is even anywhere close to what they are at.

about the only 'performance diesel' i can think of in there is either a 530d or a phaeton v10 TDI
