Installing a VW Passat RNS 510 system

I have a 2006 B6 Passat and was thinking about upgrading the radio to the RNS 510, over 2k from the VW dealers but saw one on eBay for under 400. Just wondering if there's any good places in dublin that would install it just in case its too big a DIY job? Thanks

Takes 20 -30 minutes if you know what your doing.
Seen it done but didn't take the job on myself as I didn't have the tools.
Plenty of pdf's and videos on the web showing how...

Very nice upgrade, would defenitely recommend it..

Was an aftermarket nokia bluetooth kit installed when i got it so might get a bit confused with some of the connections in the back. been about 20 years since i installed a radio!

Its a piece of cake as all the connections are the same. The front fascia with the airbag light clips off and then you are left with 4 torx screws to open. The whole thing lifts out then..

Check out his feedback, also the sellers location is listed as Israel, and the items location is Hong Kong... there is a huge chance that you will get hit for customs plus the couriers handling fees.

Have a look at www.vagdrivers.net couple of guys have bought and installed similar systems to their cars, might get more info from them

Thats some copy and not the rns 510.

I have 1 original vw for sale as i have sold my passat, located in galway city though.

Yeah thats one of those Chinese copies. General consensus is to stay well clear of these as they are buggy as hell.

Stay away from that.
Bought mine of this guy:

Although he only has the led version at the minute which is more expensive than the lcd.
Might be worth giving him a shout.
