Meh, seems the grief junkies are on here as well. I hope you made no remarks when Jacko or Whitney Houston died.

Three points are critical tonight, but if they could bang in a few it would send out a nice message to City.

Yeah gotta agree - it doesn't look half as sh1te in that pic.... still wouldn't be a fan though....

I could maybe give Red Issue the benefit of the doubt that the piece is actually a decent satirical read and the cover was just ill-judged, but after reading some of the tweets on their feed since Muamba's collapse, in relation to games being postponed and some local Bolton councillors comments in '58 regarding the Munich air disaster, I've no doubt the piece is as classless and distasteful as the front cover suggests.

    Scummy.

my issue is really that they could have said they have issues with greif junkies, they could have said it in red issue - I just don't understand why you would make it the focal point of a United fanzine, on game day. It is/should be an opinion piece, not the leading story/selling point. At best, the front cover is not the place to be having it, imo.

Looks slightly less like it was made from recycled tea towels.

Well that Red Issue cover was probably deployed as a publicity stunt. And it is working.

Its a football fanzine, its supposed to be provocative.

Embarrassing is the reaction to it on Twitter. Thus proving the point of the cover in the first place

Totally agree. It's not the first fanzine cover to take the piss and it won't be the last. People just don't have thick skins anymore.

Would love to see Fletcher back, but unfortunately I wouldn't be optimistic in him getting back to the form he showed a couple of seasons ago.

I really hope he gets back. Ulcerative colitis is a truly horrible illness, I had it myself for a few years. I can't imagine what it must be like to have it while being a professional footballer. I don't know if he can ever be the player he was as it is such an energy-sapping illnes but then again I don't know how badly it has affected him.

Disappointed with the performance tonight. Hopefully Rio was taken off for no more than precaution! Hoping DDG isn't too bad either.

All the talk tomorrow will be about the ref. Was expecting United to get at least 2 or 3. I'll take that 3 points tho.

Evans put in a good performance again tonight. He's been top notch for us since Vida has been out.

Why Giggs was kept on for the full game tonight I will never know, he had a real stinker. Thank fcuk Carrick was there to add some much needed stability, penalty incident not withstanding ofc!

Howard Webb is the ref for the Blackburn game next week :)

Started well then slowly faded away in the first half with Giggs trying for hollywood pass every time he got the ball. IMO Fergie got it wrong, Scholes should have started and taking off Rooney was also a mistake.

Evans excellent tonight, that header to clear the last attack summed up his game. Determined, Focused. (At least i think it was him!!)

Giggs in the middle gives no cover. Anyways 3 points. Next game. That's all the matters, grind out the results.

Fantastic display from Evans tonight. He was magnificent at winning the headers. Great assist from him as well.

Hopefully he starts to get some recognition for it because he has responded brilliantly after the Man City match at the start of the season.

If only Evra could take some notice of it and cop his own game on. He was up to his old tricks far too often tonight. Thankfully Ashley Young was clued in enough to fall back and cover for Evra while he sauntered back down the field.

"Ryan Giggs will penetrate" says Gary Neville.
    just ask his brother lol

Said it in here before but loving Jonny Evans this season. When Vidic gets back it could be a great partnership with Vidic smashing out long balls and Evans reading the game the way he does. Really impressive because he could have been looking for an out after Smalling and Jones were signed but he's knuckling down and playing really well.

It's like he's saying he has no other choice. "I don't think you understand. He will penetrate. It's his destiny."

Disappointing performance but its all about results now. Anyone else think the decision to take Rooney off instead of Giggs was strange

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,920 ✭✭✭Julez

    1. Evans
    2. Valencia
    3. Raf

For me anyway, Carrick decent too.

Loved when Evans won that header at the death to save the 3 points, could see him celebrating as if he scored a goal. Not to mention an assist and a goal in last 2 games too.
