Good places for second hand engine? (Ford Mondeo?)

Sorry I posted about this in the DIY section but realised that actually its not DIY as I dont want to do it myself

Any recommendations for somewhere to locate and fit an '04 Ford Mondeo engine? Sorry, I'm a car-muppet and the friend I'm asking for is a computer muppet. Kinda urgent, sorry for the second post here mods.

you'll find it hard to get a good one they all give emmissions trouble 1,8 petrol ?

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES entertain buying an engine or having one reconditioned by www.reconditioned-engines.co.uk.

They operate under various different names and have been investigated by trading standards and have also appeared on BBC watchdog.

I sent an engine over and had to get some mates in London to pay them a friendly visit

to get it back

As I mentioned, these buggers operate under many different names and various locations mainly in west London and they promise to collect your engine from Eire , refurb it (or sell u a new one) and have it returned in a couple of days. Don't go near them no matter how desperate you are or how cheap the engine/ refurb work is.
