Break-ins Ballygar/Roscommon border area...

    Hi all,

    There has been a lot of nefarious activity of late around this area, with multiple break-ins nearly every weekend. I had kerosene oil stolen a few weeks back, and from what I have heard somewhere in the region of five houses within a mile of me where broken in to too. The elder population seem to be the target, with strong suspicion locally that it could be someone among us doing the deed...

    I fear another Padraig Nally style incident will be the outcome. Anyone know anything about this activity around this area? Or if the guards have any leads?

    Thats part of the problem, local media don't appear to be picking these robberies up...

    Seems there was two more raids last night. Its bandit country down here.

    We had our full tank of agri-diesel emptied there last weekend. Tank (which is locked) is admittedly 50m from the main road but is well concealed in a yard, which is also inside a locked gate but locks only keep an honest man out. They obviously spotted the delivery of oil the week before!
