    i have asked on other thread but no one has answered


    about two weeks ago my ps3 turned on but the drive refused the cd . so i took out the drive took it apart and put it back together and now the drive accepts the cd but wont load the game . i have tried two other blueray drives in the ps3 all accept the cd but wont load the game . its not memory as demos music and stored movies works fine . any help would be appreciated

    Is it one of the older PS3 models or a PS3 Slim?

    The blu ray lens could be burned out in the unit. Unfortunately it is a common enough issue with the older PS3 models. When you put in a blu ray does the loading icon in the top right start spinning for a long time?

    Also, will it load a normal DVD movie (not a blu ray disc) or a music CD?

    ya its an older model, no it wont load nothing . i have tried other readers in it those wont load either
