Ron Paul and military donations

    This goes completely against what the media want folk to believe, "isolationist" Ron paul is running away in the military donations competition:

    The lion's share of political contributions by servicemembers and defense industry workers is going to anti-war, "soft on Israel," also-ran candidate Ron Paul. In fact, the battle for their dollars isn't even close: Paul has raised at least $282,868 from individual active-duty servicemembers and Pentagon employees—more than four times what the other three Republican presidential candidates have raised, combined.

    Wouldn't age demographics account for those results? Ron Paul has large support in 18-30 year old group and 2/3rd of the military is the same age.

    Well if it's mainly Libertarians who were contributing to his campaign then I'd suspect they would support his isolationist policies.

    Also, military spending is grossly over funded and inefficiently funded for it's intended purposes in some cases.

    Really interesting graph there Ritchie.
    it really does indicate how people who serve in the military soon learn NOT to be a keyboard warrior,they see it in all its horrible reality and realise that other than defending their homeland,it is fruitless to see their buddies die.

    Ron Paul makes sense on what is best for America foreign policy wise.
    wish the libertarian ideal supporters would open a Q&A thread.
    genuinely i would love to know how the gulf between the status quo and the leap into a libertarian leader could happen without hugh civil unrest.?
