Is there a particular type of headset you need for Mac? When I try to use Skype invariably people find it hard to hear even if I'm close to the mic. The internet says Bluetooth is the way to go, yeah?

As far as I know, Bluetooth and WiFi still use the same chip and when there is high use of the wireless connection the Bluetooth device gets disconnected.

I use a Logitech Laptop Headset H555, it uses a USB connection and in three years of use I can't fault it.

But it states: "You’ll experience clear, digital sound with the simplicity of a single USB plug-and-play connection."

I don't want to hear digital sound. My ears are designed for analogue sound.

I use a C-Media USB Audio-Input/Output adapter with a cheapie pair of earphones with microphone off eBay.

Thanks both. Do you've an adapter in mind/link, Liameter?

Any bluetooth handsfree ear-piece will do. I use a Jaba one for out and about. I also use a USB Logitech Headset when at home.

Thanks, I thought it might. I borrowed one, it seemed to pair OK, but I couldn't hear the sound in the earpiece. Is there anything extra you've to do? I didn't have Skype open to test it, so I might need to try that.
