Anyone ever watch ancient aliens on History, watched a few episodes last night and them Mayans were so advanced when it came to astronomy, there actually were more precise than the atomic clock when it comes to how long a year is.
They recently found a craving in monument no 6 in some Mayan city where it is that yes 21st December will be the end of the world:eek:.

They didn't take into account leap years, so apparently the 21st of December that they thought would be the end of the world has been and gone. Or so likes on facebook tell me:rolleyes:

Edit: Also I done a bit of reading on this before when I was bored, the 21-12-2012 date is not actually a prediction of the end of the world. The mayans thought that there was 5 (I think that's how many) phases that the world would go through. The 21-12-2012 is the end of the 4th phase in that and as such the end of that calender. Something like that, it's been ages since I read it, but pretty much it's just a transition period and not the end. It's all a load of bo*lox anyways.

Yea you're right about the phases, and equally as right about it being horseshíte.

After losin money several times on odds on shots I was thinkin of tryin to pick matches I think will be a draw.

I noticed you always get at least about 11/5 or more for a draw (unless it's one of them fixed Italian games)
This means you only need to get one right from 3 to break even or maybe make a small profit of course

anyway do many of ya back draws? and if you do do ya have much luck?

Thinking of starting drinking protein to get the best out of my workout. Does anyone here find it beneficial and are there any weirdish side effects?

I used to use it a couple of years back when I worked on a buliding site and was training reguarly. Definitely beneficial; reduces DOM's definitely if nothing else. Will only be worth while imo if you're doing any serious amount of training, and that you have everything in order first (diet and exercises). If nothing else it's handy and it gets you about 20g protein in one go (roughly the same as a chicken breast).

Going to go back on it in 2 weeks when I'm back in the gym.

You won't get any side effects, it's only protein in powder form.

Time to hit the hay, long week ahead.

Protein is Protein, doesnt matter what form its in, as Gav said its the same as a chicken breast but much more accessible if you dont have time to be cooking, A big tub is also one of the cheapest sources of protein around too.

You'll need to work out how much you need to get your moneys worth from it thou, if your trying to put on muscle lift big and take in about 1.5 times your weight in kg's in grams of protein,

So for example i'm 90kg's, if I was trying to put on muscle i'd be taking in about 145grams of protein per day, and supplement the rest of my calories with vegetables and fat sources.

Get yourself over to the Fitness and nutrition and diet forum, there's a wealth of information over there.

As said already, just to reiterate the point, food is food. Grind up a chicken breast into powder form + add water and you'd have a protein shake (granted it'd taste like absolute fúckin ass). If you want to buy whey then buy it online because only then is it actually worthwhile (in my experience at least; whey is a by-product of the dairy industry, the prices they charge in supplement shops are crazy from what I've seen - it used to be fed to pigs and shít because they had nowt else to do with the whey and now they charge €110 for 5kg :pac: no thanks).

Best prices around at the minute seem to be for this - http://www.myprotein.com/IE/products/impact-whey-protein
Use MP401036 to get 5% off your first order. That's my referral code. If anyone wants the points then you can use theirs instead or set up another account and give your other accounts the points (you're not supposed to do this and they might suspend your account but it's worth the gamble :P the points give you money off your next order).

Tbh if your diet is good already you won't notice much of a difference, but it won't hurt either!

I won't be killimg myself training or anything but I'll be tipping away all the same. Would I need to be in serious training to use it? Anyone here ever feel bloated after it, its a common occurence I believe.

No, just look at it as a drink. People overestimate the power of 'protein shakes' because of advertising. It's just protein.
