Just stepping briefly into the thread to say, yep, I had BabyTheTerrible (NOT called Joe!) on Wednesday morning and am just back home since saturday from the clinic. Not listening to the radio as I just got him to sleep!

    Congrats Ivy !

BabyTheTerrible is a much nicer name than Joe. ;)

That pub in Sligo sounds quality. Might head up when I'm home at Christmas for an all day season, would be nicely gargled by mid afternoon.

Great bit of promotion for the establishment as well.

Saw that this morning. His head should roll.

"the Dublin South-Central TD's used the average equivalent of three packs of the ink per day, at a cost of €130 each"

What was he doing with all the ink? It was enough to print something like 1000 letters to each of the 4000 people who elected him.

Yep, while the Mahon Tribunal findings against Saint Bartholomew of Drumcondra will NEVER get a mention.

Is An Phoblacht still published? If it is, I suspect it may now be available in A4 format!

Hal Roach has died. That's todays topic sorted then.

edit: RTE webpage says todays show is about Public Sector retirements.

Having spent decades in a comfortable well upholstered environment under no pressure to
present any new material I'm sure Joe can identify with Hal Roach.

Hal's tribute can wait until Unfunny Friday when an hour and a quarter will be devoted to rehashing his jokes.......gawd! the News at One are playing some of them now..

Today has to be all about O'Snoddy and the print cartridges. He'll be whacking off to that for hours.

Needless to say with a few (by now regular) Tales from the Crypt thrown in at some stage.

One of my favourite Hal jokes:

Paddy: "Hi Mick, sorry to hear your factory burned down".
    Mick: "sshhhhhhhh, it's tomorrow"..
