    Hi,

I'd like to know if there is a way to use Windows instant search feature in Windows 7 to search the contents of a CSV file?

Control Panel -> Indexing Options -> Advanced -> File types and then scroll down to .csv and change it from "Index properties only" to "Index properties and file contents".

    Thanks. This is the solution.

I also had an issue becuase the CSV in question was located on a network share, so offline copy had to be sync'd first before the indexing would word.

    Thanks for your help.
