I think it's best I refrain from watching any more matches this season :pac:

I just wish he was hanging around for longer. He could show some of the prima donnas around him what exactly is required when you play for a club like Arsenal.

Massive result for the team. Hopefully now we can kick on from this and the last game.

Interesting stat that you wouldn't necessarily expect from twitter
    Opta Sports @OptaJoe
9 - Arsenal have claimed more points from losing positions away from home than any other team in the PL this season. Dogged.

That win was massive, great stuff from Henry. Shame hes leaving this week.

We have a massive shout at 4th, Chelsea and Liverpool really are poor.

Into 4th based on goals scored. The game against Blackburn really helped there!

You know what I wouldn't have agreed before the match today but I do now. I hope Newcastle win. We'll only be 7 short of Spurs then and hopefully they'll **** the pants on the run in.

Odd, I thought we had no chance.

Wish I could get a price on Arsenal finishing ahead of Spurs. They seem to have a better run-in but they're due a collapse.

If 'Arry leaves for the England job they'll definitly be dropping points left, right and center imo. If he stays though, they'll only probably be dropping points as the realistation sets in that they are in the wrong place on the table. They have been punching above their weight for much of the season, only a matter of time before it takes its toll on them and they plummit down the table again.

2-0 up already. No chance of catching them imo, fact is they are a better side than us these days.

I think they have 3rd place sewn up, the only thing now is when Redknapp goes in June, if he does, they will have a very hard time replacing him and keeping their players.

I think you need to give Spurs more credit than that' they're there on merit so far.

Anyway another thing occurred to me...

AW was widely derided for taking off Chamberlain vs United about a month ago... make three substitutions today [taking Chamberlain off again] who all combine to win the game.

We aren't half fickle are we? :P

Completely disagree. How have they been punching above their weight? Arguably you could say that about Newcastle but Spurs, nah no way. They are in my opinion the 3rd best side in the league right now and have earned their results. At times they have played better football than United to watch.

Don't get me wrong of course I hate them like we all do, but there is no chance they will plummet down the table. They are still comfortably ahead in 3rd position, and lets be honest none of the other teams look like catching them.

I think they have us for this season, thing is though when Redknapp leaves, if he does, they are in trouble they probably won't attract a manager that will keep them up there.

If I could find prices I'd be willing to do a charity bet with you about Spurs finishing 3rd. :)

Great result for da gunners today and a massive 3 points which is the most important thing.I think liverpool are out of the running for 4th place bring honest after losing today but dont quote me on it.Theres a 4 point gap between chelsea/arsenal and liverpool and were a point ahead of newcastle who are getting a hammering as we speak at WHL!!!

I can see Villas Boas getting the chop soon too and disrupting Chelsea's season even more.

As much as it pains me to watch spurs winning, newcastle have over stayed their welcome in the fight for 4th, really time they are disposed of.

We can be as poor as them on our day. Consistency is key.

Couldnt agree more mate this is the business end of the season now and time for us to stand up and be counted no more excuses. We have a big month ahead of us know which will once again define our season. We have milan now in the CL in the next few weeks, sunderland (again) in the fa cup next weekend and spurs and liverpool at home in the league.

Lets hope our season doesnt implode like it did this time last year when birmingham beat us in the carling cup final!

They'll have no bother getting a top manager if harry leaves. ancelotti said he would have managed them, I'd even say capello would.
What might do them damage is losing 'arry along with modric going to chelsea - likely to happen, but levy could be stubborn like this summer - and some of rest squad being split up all in a short space of time so they'd nearly have to rebuild, are they going to buy adebayor? keep bale? etc.

never seen the game today but great result with chelsea, liverpool losing as well

Well cson, I applaud you for bringing this up. I've said it many times on here that Wenger is ridiculed when he makes poor decisions and his managerial quality is called into question.

Today, he got us a win. The Ox was never gonna score if he stayed on, or Walcott for that matter.

I really dislike how everyone's so quick to get on his back but wouldn't even have the decency to admire something he's done right.

This is not a question of if you're pro- or anti-Wenger but more a question of how negative everyone is.

    on bringing him back again…
We will see next season, but maybe he might want to stop at some stage as well!

If Wenger is planning on bringing him back again, he needs to make sure it's more than just a month. We could do with him for the entire season unless we actually sign someone who knows what the goal is.

I know that he's not as fast as he used to be but his finishing is still top class. I can't think of a better player to bring on in the last 20 minutes to win a game for us when we need it like he did today and against leeds.

Any news on Mertesacker? Just seen it on Premier Soccer Saturday and dont see what happened to him. I assume a muscle injury?
