Anyway, even though the ipod is empty, according to my iTunes it still has the same capacity. Except it's filled with "other" and not "music". I tried to do a restore but the message, "The iPod could not be restored. An unknown error occured (1413).

Can anyone tell me why this is happened and what can be done to fix it? Thanks for any help.

delete the apple lines in the host file.
