It happens much more often than it should. It must drive coaches crazy.

not common, well i guess some teams make those kind of stupid mistakes then others. Pats are not one of those teams

What the hell? Patriots doing everything wrong, practically handed the Giants the Touchdown.

i agree. they seem to be on a completely different planet right now. it is the SUPERBOWL ffs, get ye heads in the game (and i am going for the GIANTS, but we don't need it handed to us on a plate!)

you'd see it pretty often - watching 2-3 games in a weekend and you'll pretty much definitely see it once

nice score for the giants there too... 9-0 Pats need to get the next score or giants are really going to be running the show

they're professionals so it should rarely happen but in the heat of the moment guys just rush out without thinking sometimes.

We don't mind the questions btw. Football is a complicated game that you'll really enjoy :)

Most of the time it happens is when the offence snaps the ball quickly to catch a defender who hasn't run off the field in time. It's not often it's 12 players on the field, lined up in position.

Very famously happened in a college football game 2 years ago. With a few seconds left, the LSU offence were on the goal line. They were losing but looking for the go ahead score. They failed to convert, game was blown as over and everyone rushed the pitch. About 3/4 minutes later, the ref announces the defence had 13 players on the field, lined up defending the play. The offence got another chance and scored and won.

What bets do you all have on tonight lads?

I like the Giants +3 at evens. Manning MVP at 9/4. Victor Cruz first TD at 8/1.

Honestly couldn't tell ya but I haven't seen it that often. It's amateur stuff. Some player got caught up in the atmosphere and forgot that he wasn't supposed to be on. Didn't really matter, the Giants would have scored anyway I reckon.

12 men on the field. That is ridiculous from the Patriots to give away that.

It's common enough but not in the way it was on that play with all 12 players with their feet set in positions. Usually it's called with a player trying run off the field but the opposition QB recognizes it and snaps the ball.

Would have been a fumble by giants and Pats ball if they had 11 on the field.

Soccer players should start doing a little jig when they make a tackle.

Soccer players should start doing a little jig when they make a tackle.

That would add zero to the total celebrations of Ronaldo and Nani.

How long are the quarter and half-time breaks?

It's almost embarrassing at times seeing them celebrating a tackle. You'd swear they just ran the length of the field and scored a TD the way they go on.

Little or no break for quarters, half time in the Super Bowl will be about 30 minutes.
