You know as well as anyone that the Pats have the exact same ready to be published, just didn't make the mistake of posting it early...hardly a big deal!

Always find it somewhat funny that for all the merchandise that is pre made before hand, half of it is always unusable! At least it seems to go to use by charities getting hold of it! Awful waste though!

Eh relax, I didn't say or suggest that's what you were saying!

Gotta say this game has me all jumpy. I'm usually able to put the goggles on and be confident of a Patriots win but this game is just unpredictable at this point for me. I just want revenge for that loss 4 years ago too much I think.

My favourite Patriots poster on any site had this to say.

Great article but it underplays two key elements

    a) Eli's ability to scramble and lengthen the plays allowing CruzNicks Manningham to get open ...ala the David Tyree TD

    b) if the Giants dare the Pats to go to the Run cos of the 3 safety Grant package ...where is the run going to come from ...Jarvis Green & Woodhead have rushed for 1000 yrds between them ....thats an unfit Chris Johnson season between them ...the first 9 plays of the week 9 match were with the Run ...the result 29 yrds rushing i think ..

Who the hell is Jarvis Green?:D You mean Ben Jarvus Green-Ellis or lawfirm for handiness!

What about Ridley? Ridley had 441 yards at an average of 5.1 ypc in the regular season, he only rushed for 20 yards or thereabouts on 4 carries this postseason(his first) but I think he is a very special player and will be called upon if the Giants give us that opportunity to run the ball. Don't forget also that Sebastien 'Sea bass' Vollmer is fit now. He is one of the best right tackles in the league and is a brilliant run blocker.

As for what you say about Eli's scrambling ability, its in the post where he suggests that the Patriots will play a contain game and keep both him and Bradshaw in the pocket where they have not played as well.

Ridley will not be a factor ...Vollmer is a beast but the whole unit protects Brady ...i dont see it as a great power blocking unit ...is anyone really expecting a Pats RB to rush 100 yrds tomorro night ....anyone

And what is it with names i mentioned Chung last night to another with an incorrect Christian name ...who was i refering to? Wang Chung :D

having said that i like the Law firm one :D

Can't wait, should a great game. I do think the Giants will edge it, but I could see Brady having a ridiculous performance, carrying the Pats on his back and winning.

I think the most fascinating battle will be the Giants Dline vs the Pats Oline. Pierre Paul to have a monster game.

Giants to edge it by more than 1 and less than 6.

Cold cold move. Not sure on the in's and out's of this, but does this mean he won't be involved at all with the Pats i.e. not even with the practice squad anymore or anything?

Just seen a blog from earlier with quotes from him saying it was a dream come true etc, must be an awful sickener even if he is taking it pretty well.

Hasn't anything for us and the chance of Brady Throwing his way are slim anyways. Means Ocho is active and we have another Dlineman. If the Pats win he still gets a ring.

I feel bad for the chap and it seems he broke no rules but with BB we will never know. But football is business and he hasn't really factored at all. Pats needed an extra roster spot for Silvestro and Underwood lost out. And nope to the practice squad they just released him but Im sure he will be back after the bowl on the Pats practice squad.

Supposedly they've done it to bring in extra cover on the D line!

But you'd have to feel sorry for him, preparing for it for 2 weeks to be told the night before you won't be out there! He'll prob be standing along the sideline, but I'm sure he'll be fairly downbeat!

Hopefully we'll see his high top at some stage! :D

NBC are steaming the game live.

Will it be available to us in Ireland, and will it be free does anyone know?

It's free but it's not available in Ireland. It's on the BBC anyway.

it is on Freecast.com, who are officially (afaik) hosting the NBC stream for the international audience.

Is there anything more beautiful then a well executed sack?

I think not, come on Giants D line and come on Giants

    JPP for MVP
About time we have another defensive MVP

None of the free to air channels are carrying the Superbowl over here so I have to get up at 5.45 in the morning in order to get a bus and a train to the casino which is the only place showing the game.

God damn you time zones.

It's more likely to be special teams cover for Gronkowski to be honest. Bill will be reluctant to send Gronk out on ST with his ankle. Underwood would have been inactive tonight anyway, so from a gameplan perspective, it's a very necessary move from Belichick.

Why don't you just get the iPlayer?!

They promoted Alex Silvestro, a DE, from the practice squad.

Because my flatmate downloaded about 250GB of movies and shows and pushed us over our download cap so my internet is running at 56k speeds

Yes, and he'll either be a direct replacement for Gronk on special teams plays, or he'll fill in the usual position for whoever else takes Gronks place on ST. He'll make very little, if any contribution to the defensive line I would imagine.

What bets do you all have on tonight lads?

I like the Giants +3 at evens. Manning MVP at 9/4. Victor Cruz first TD at 8/1.

    New England Patriots
    Have 5ers on:

    Bradshaw First TD 15/2
    Hernandez First TD 15/2
Woodhead First TD 25/1 (Love this bet, have a feeling)
