I'm looking for a Vegetarian moussaka recipie

Last month on holidays I tired moussaka for the first time, I was never a fan of aubergines before but it was lovely.

I found a recipie on the internet and followed it but it wasn't the same, all the vegetables seemed very stewed and the cheese sauce seemed to have no definate flavour.

If anyone has a recipie or indeed a link to a recipie that they'd like to share I'd be very grateful.

I've two hopeful aubergines waiting in the fridge - Thank you :pac::pac::pac:

Sorry, I had an excellent recipe but lost it, several housemoves back. It did involve boiling soy beans for hours and hours and hours (and alot of the fecker's stayed hard but did give a bit of bite to the dish) to replace the meat bit. I'm surprised no-one else has offered you a recipe.

+1 on being turned on to aubergines via moussaka.

I use the moussaka recipe from the BBC website but use quorn mince, I thought it was lovely. I add a knorr veg stock pot into the mince to add a bit of flavour.

Not sure it's exactly what you're looking for but a tasty dinner

Thanks for your replies but I was hoping for one without Quorn mince.

I found this Nigella recipie and will have a go at the weeked.

green lentils are good as a mince substitute. improvise, its not that hard to make
