Debug Extremely Slow Time Capsule

    Hi,
I'm using a Time Capsule pretty much as a network hard disk - I am not using time machine or similar.

I've recently moved to UPC, and am using wireless between a MAC mini and a 1Tb Time Capsule (v 7.6)

I've configured the Time capsule to join the wireless network exposed by the UPC modem and while it connects fine, file transfers are extremely slow - I'm currently getting 802.5KB/s (1.1 Gb is taking approx 15 minutes to transfer)

The really odd thing here is that using rubbernet (http://rubbernetapp.com/) the system application appears to be uploading at between 1.7 and 2.1 MB/s, which is closer to what I'd expect.

What should I be looking for here to resolve this ?

I should add that general internet speeds are fine, according to speedtest.net my download speed is 17.23 Mbps and my upload speed is 2.44 Mbps

I'm using SL server, in case that makes any difference, and transferring the file using Path Finder.

    Thanks
    Sean

    I would try two things:

Connect to TC wirelessly (not via UPC modem) and tell us the transfer rate.

Then connect with Ethernet cable to the TC and check the rate.

If the first yields higher results then UPC modem is a bottleneck. If second is higher again the WiFi in general is a bottleneck. This would show that the TC disk operation is ok.
