Latching relay

I need some help,

I'm trying to wire up a system using a Durite 0-728-02 latching relay where I have a N/O push button to give power to the coil, relay closes, button is pushed again, relay opens, I can only perform this action once and have to kill power to the circuit to "reset" the relay, is there any way around this? When I set the circuit up on a test bed using a meter to test continuity it opens & close all day long, but one I put it on load it's only function once...?!

Can you draw a schematic of what you have?

Do you want the same button to turn on/off the load?

Yeah I need to use the push button supplied with the kit, it's push & hold to make contact.

you could make it latch using two buttons - one to make - one to reset.

Unfortunately I can only use one button as that is all that is supplied & will fit the application.

56a is linked to 30 internally causing (the hold on) when switching the load.

This relay is definitely designed to work with a single NO momentary switch, so the diagram looks OK - but can you say a bit more about the load, such as how many amps it's pulling? I vaguely recall, years ago, a relay misbehaving in a similar way under a very high load.
