Was a passenger in my son in laws car,We were about to exit a roundabout when this lady cut in front of us in a mini.
We made our exit and about 30 meters down the road we were stopped at a red traffic light.Without warning the son in law jumped out of the car leaving the engine running. He ran up to the mini shouting abuse at the poor lady,
I was shocked I got out of the car and made my own way home by bus.

I'm more of a passive rage causer than a rage victim.
I drive a poxy oul pick up so I couldn't give a flying fúck if someone drives into me and does a bit of damage. It'll hammer out.

Places I like to cause rage
At the end of a bus lane coming up to a left turn junction, I will indicate and pull into the left turn lane and squeeze out taxi drivers. After all they are suppose to yield to you (see the dotted line ya prick!)

Yellow box junctions, I will always let people out of side roads into the main flow and it annoys the tits off those behind.

Stop signs. I will be stopping at the stop sign, by all means drive into the back of me.

Amber lights. I'm not gunning it - I'm actually slowing down getting ready to stop!

Left turn junctions with cycle lanes. ooh lah lah, look at me not in the cycle lane and forcing those who want to go straight out into the center of the road. Wait behind ya daft cúnt.

I was driving behind this old van who was just about to pass through an intersection when the light went yellow and instead of going through he slammed on the brakes - screeches, everything. I mean, he was right at the intersection and really should have gone through. Now, I don't tailgate because it makes me nervous to drive behind someone so closely for that very reason, so I was able to stop in time, but everything that was sitting on my passenger seat went flying and I threw my arms up, like WTF.
The guy must have seen me because he comes tearing out of the van, comes up to my window and starts yelling at me for making what he thought was a rude gesture. I started laughing and pulled out my smartphone and took pictures which only made him more mad. Then the light turned green, I pulled around him and drove off and last I saw he was still in the middle of the road.

The other road rage incident was in a parking lot. I was making a turn to go down an aisle where there was an open space right up front. There was a car behind me, and the driver suddenly sped up and cut me off right as I was turning. This guy got a beep and the finger because that was really dangerous. But he really wanted that front space apparently. We both park and I start walking toward the store. I'm obviously not smiling, but I'm not planning on engaging the guy any further, so I'm looking straight ahead. However, he decides to come up to me - perhaps because he was a big guy with his big girlfriend and I'm just a skinny girl - and says, "Do you have a problem with me? Seems like you have a problem." And I turned toward him and said, "Yeah, I do have a problem. You cut me off in the parking lot while I was making a turn and almost caused accident. For what? A parking space?" And he said, "Oh... well there's nothing I can do about it now." And I said, "No, there's not," and walked off.

He was in the wrong lane and wanted to bully his way in and I didn't give so when the traffic stopped the drivers mate rolls down the window when he pulls up along side me, starts shouting abuse and spitting, then opens the door and starts trying to kick my door in. I seen enough travelers in my time to know one and he was defo one.

Is this where the on coming traffic from the M1 merges with the traffic heading towards the roundabout? I meet people liek you every morning. What is it with us Irish? we dont seem to have to ability to let someone in that has their indicator on. I dont blame the man for trying to kick your door...

    Where are all these assholes?!!

I'm new on the road, have my licence the past year and my own car the past six months. I've done 10K miles since I've got my own car. Can't say I've encountered any problems yet.

Have had a few effs and blinds with people over the years but nothing major. But what has happend a couple of times to my wife is when she has beeped a man in his car and the abuse that is thrown her way. Last year a fella nearly swiped the front of her car off so she beeped the guy, as soon as he saw a woman behind the wheel this hard man decides to get aggresive. My wife would not take any **** from anyone so gave him a load back and this other fellas wife had to apologise to my wife for your mans behaviour.
I drive a van aswell and its funny but no one ever has a go at you when your driving one (i wonder why?) but women seem fair game.

Was in supermarket open car park one day and was going to park in a spot. There was a guy coming towards me but he hung back as in waiting for me to park, then when I went to park he went nuts.
Anyway parked and he got out of the car and opened my door and started yelling about how I wasn`t thinking of my child and how dangerous I was. Lol I don`t have a child - I had a child seat in the back of the car and the guy reaked of alcohol. lol

Its mostly due to cowardice, for some people theres nothing as easy as having a go at someone you percieve to be weaker than yourself and doing that from the security of a metal box.

I was driving a hire car in the US when some aggressive driver started tailgating me while I was driving in the middle lane of a busy 3 lane motorway at the 55 mph speed limit.

The satnav was telling me that I was in the correct lane because it was widening to 4 lanes before splitting up ahead and I had to go left. If I moved to the right lane (slow lane in the US) then I would have potentially had to fight my way back across 2 lanes of traffic to make my turn. If I moved to the left lane (fast lane in the US) then I would have been OK to make my turn but I would have potentially been holding up the fast lane. So I just stayed where I was.

He grew impatient and flashed me a few times and moved even closer, so I tapped the brakes. The tailgater nearly went into an out of control skid because he over-reacted.

The next thing my wife's screaming at me, "He's got a gun". He'd pulled up on our right and was pointing what looked like a 9mm semi-automatic at us!

It was my turn to hit the brakes. Fortunately the road was splitting just up ahead and he went right and we went left.

Bloody scary looking down the barrel of a gun!

I'm not an ignorant driver at all, i'm speaking about driving around in general. My point was that i have noticed other drivers behaviour in different situations i.e when i'm in my van nobody takes liberties or trys to bully you off the road.
I was stating that some blokes in cars will act ignorant if they see that its a woman in another car.
Another example is my brother in law who borrowed his nieces car because his car was in the garage and he needed to get to work. For the few days he drove the nieces small little car that had L plates on it he was nearly bullied off the road everyday and was cut up and alsorts.

It's probably road presence. People are very aware you're there. Same with buses, lorries, etc.

Although they more than likely think your an ignorant tradesman.

Exactly! people don't act the maggot because in a van you cant see the driver easily and they is always that thought in the back of your mind if you get in an arguement, you never know who is going to get out to you.

I CANNOT tolerate people driving onto a yellow box just to "beat the lights" when they can clearly see the traffic backed up ahead of them. Thanks fcuker, now I have to sit through a green light because I can't drive through you!
I CANNOT. Tolerate people who do not indicate when turning left, when the can see me at the junction waiting to get out, and waiting for them to pass. Only to have them turn without indicating. Thanks fcuker, for wasting my fcuking time.
I CANNOT tolerate people who purposely drive up an inside and not so busy lane, only to try and butt into the busy lane at the last minute. No fcuker, you are not getting into this lane infront of me, I queued in this lane for 15 mins, you did not, fcuk off.
I CANNOT tolerate people driving on the overtaking lane for the entirity of their journey. Get the Fcuk out of my way fcuker, I actually want to drive at the 120kmph thats allowed and you are slowing me down.

    That is all.
    That felt good.

I was cycling up Brunswick Street one morning, in the lane ready to turn right onto Church Street Upper. It's a slow moving street and I kept pace with the car in front. The fellow in the car behind me started beeping frantically and shouting that I should be in the cycle lane..... which would have been difficult as there was no cycle lane on that stretch of road- something I pointed out to him.

I turned right and the car in front got caught at the lights as he was waiting to turn left onto North King Street which is where I was going too. The screamer was going that way too. He pulled up at the lights, and thrust himself halfway out the drivers door to have another go about staying in the non-existent cycle lane.

    Idiot.

This is a very bad practice. NEVER go by the fact that somebodies indicating left to pull out in front of them. take motorcycles too for instance, most indicators on them have to be manually turned off so the driver could easily have forgotten. Also with cars there could be a fault with the indicator. Too many accidents are caused by people doing this.

I still think its rude not to indicate. That's what indicators are for. I could sit at a junction (same one everytime) and watch 10-15 cars turn off with only 5 of them using indicators.
Even the ones that have their indicators on, I would still wait for them to start turning, and have made sure there is nothing coming the other way, and be ready to pull out. But when people turn at the last min it just wastes my time.

yeah some people are just away with the clouds on the road. and you're right doing what you're doing by waiting to see them physically turn. i get what your saying though but some people are just idiots and never use indicators or turn them off for that matter. good rule of thumb is, presume nothing expect everything.

btw lol at your location :)
