    I think I'll take a double of:

    Tom -7
    Giants -3.5.

    1.91 and 2.62 gives me a total of 5.0 (4/1).
What odds on the entire Patriots -7?! ;)

where's the clever man's money going on the spreads in these 2

Patriots -7 and 49ers -2 are what I'm going with..

just can't see Flacco being able to throw TDs when the Patriots inevitably get 1-2 and with the big game pressure and all that too.. and Ray Rice can only do so much in fairness to the man.. still a 7 pt win is means a TD win gets your money back so.. a 7.5 spread in this one would have made it a **** load harder for me to call it......

and the 49ers - they've got the soft spot in my heart now and I've never liked the Giants.. but 49ers have a great D - and we seen what the 49ers offense are capable of against the Saints when they need to... can they do it 2 weeks in a row.......... I hope so and think home field and all that will help them big time.... as for the Giants.. they beat a very poor misfiring GB team... yes beating the Packers in Lambeau is a huge task and they did it with ease in the end... but whether it's heart over head.... 49ers are gonna win this one

I agree with the Patriots yet one must always remember that the Giants always get the job done when it comes to the nitty gritty. There are leaving West side tonight and their bringing the NFC with them.

    I actually went with Betfair, in the end;

Giants outright and Pats -7 for 4.46.

My picks are Ravens @ 2.7/1. I agree with fisgon about the Patriots easy schedule, they're 2-2 against playoff teams (their only two wins coming against the Broncos) whereas the Ravens are 7-0 against playoff teams. While I think the Patriots should still be favourites playing at home, they're over-rated as 7-point favourites.

The NFC game I had more trouble with, but in the end went for the Giants @ 11/10. Strength of schedule is a significant factor here too, the 49ers have played one of the easiest schedules and the Giants have played one of the toughest. The 49ers played a good team last week in the Saints, but benefited from +4 turnover differential and still nearly lost the game. The Giants beat the Packers by 17, and maybe should've won by more, with some refereeing decisions going against them.

    A very wise choice

All indications are that the sharp gamblers are taking the Ravens on the handicap. Despite many more bets on NE, the line has been forced down from -7.5 to -7.

I'm putting a decent bet on the Ravens +7 and will probably go small on the 49ers _2. I've also backed the Ravens for the Superbowl at 15/2

I agree with you on the Ravens. See my point on backing them to win a couple of pages back, and if you're willing to wait a week you can get 3.25/1 or more rather than 2.7/1

    Patriots inactives!
Today's inactives are Ryan Mallett, Stevan Ridley, Shane Vereen, Gary Guyton, Donald Thomas, Sebastian Vollmerand Chad Ochocinco.

Chad obviously hasn't made it back from Florida or isn't in a fit shape to play! Shame Vollmer couldn't pull through!

if they lose I wouldnt bother with the better odds by waiting an extra week.:pac:

Ridley is a loss. I'm not sure if the trust is still there after the fumble though. Woodhead will be sharing some carries with BJGE so. shame Vollmer isnt in alright, but he has missed a lot of the year anyway. Ochocino isnt much of a loss anyway. Suprised he isnt back though.

Oh yeah I saw that. I had a piece of them at 7/1 SB odds as well (also have them @ 15/1 from earlier in the season), and you're right, it's a better price. Will hopefully decide later if I'm going to lay those off.

Strength of schedule is irrelevant in a playoff game, besides the 49ers have played 5 playoff teams. Also that turnover differential didn't happen by accident.

I think home field advantage swings it for the 49ers.

I'd take ravens +7 in the other game.

Well he could be back, but if he was you'd expect him to be active! Just picked this up from the Pats twitter feed!

    Will Faulk get any carries?

Hooray, the Ravens get to face a one dimensional offense! Ravens +7 is a really good bet imo, they tend to keep their NE games close when they're on the losing side.

Baldingers a nice addition to the panel, starkly contrasting with "DUURRRR Bradleee" dragging his knuckles around the studio

Dear God, the Star-Spangled Banner is a terrible, terrible anthem.

Patriots by 8 for the record.

I remember a year back they showed some "highlights" of Bradlee which the main highlight was him throwing a 70 yard interception.

Flacco already trying to run off by himself, bad omen.

    Poor start on offense anyway.

Good start on defense though. I'm a bag of nerves.

Ed Reed, has there ever been a better Free Safety. Great coverage.

Both Defenses playing well, this could be a tight one !! altho I'd think Brady & co. have more firepower to get it done.

And after 2 minutes 11 seconds, we are exactly where we were at the start.
