Eli had to leave practice today with an illness, hopefully it won't affect Saturdays game!

Brady misses practice with shoulder injury.

    QB's jinxed!!

Both are prob just precautionary, still not ideal though!

That's nothing new with Brady, his shoulder is nearly always lister injured!

Brady has been on the injury report for about 90% of his career. He has been missing Wednesday practice quite a bit with this injury in recent weeks so its nothing to be concerned about.

Until next year when he misses the entire season after surgery to fix it.. . then we realise how important he is to the team when they go 2 -14!!!

Well firstly I don't expect him to go for surgery and secondly we have Josh and his QB friendly system back next season so I don't see any chance of a 2-14;)

And yes I do know you were only joking.

Pats love this trick, he's always on the injury report, maybe to try and catch more gullible teams out. Short of his arms falling off there's **** all that would stop him being out there on sunday.

Thing is though Brady is injured but not an injury that will stop him playing. He is getting work done on his left shoulder and as he is right handed it wont affect him. More so the Pats are letting him see specialists every wednesday to rehab his bad shoulder.

As I see its his none throwing shoulder he can get away with it. Why not take surgery the day after their final game(SB hopefully)? Get recover for a few months 5-6months, and maybe miss the pre-season?

    Touche!

Brady will be hoping they wont be seeing each other until the handshake in the middle.

Suggs could pick out that shoulder ;-)

Between Brady and Welker in consecutive years, the Pats must really hate him lol

Don't think Welker would hold anything against him as Welker fell over badly on his own before Pollard hit him.

As funny as this vid is you do realise this video wasn't actually after the Pats game right? But if it was him taking pride in injuring a QB even though he lost the game to Bradys backup anyways and they went 2-14 in that season.

I don't buy into any of the nonsense in the press about it. Pollard and Brady have met a couple of times after he hit Brady. Why only now would it bother Brady? If anything all this talk is going to fuel Brady on more to burn Pollard if he gets a chance.

Well, I was wrong, I predicted both a GreenBay & NewOrleans win, but both are amazingly out, and the commentators/fans who said that Defenses win SBs were right !!! damn, as I was hoping for a Saints (or Packers) v Patriots shootout in the 'final' :(

Lads.. let me tell you a story...
My very good mate, we watch a lot of NFL, go to the Wembley games and play a lot of Madden together... he sends me a MMS earlier.. while I was on a conference call that had business implications on the tens of millions for my company.
Below is the MMS (with his head removed) showing 2 all inclusive Super Bowl Tickets with a face value of $3,000.

As you can imagine on receiving such a MMS i jumped around my office with utter delight... then he proceeds to tell me they are going to a customer of his company... I was not happy :(

Fair enough...are they Irish though or some American company? If they're Irish must have serious connections!

  • Moderators, Science, Health & Environment Moderators Posts: 21,819 Mod ✭✭✭✭helimachoptor

    Irish surprisingly!

Believe me I'm tempted to get some thief lessons and raid his company tonight!

    Unless the Patriots win!

Not sure if anyone noticed this, but the Patriots have only played 2 teams all season who finished the regular season with a winning record - Pittsburg and the Giants. They lost both games. They look great, invincible, but they have had a cake schedule, they have beaten literally no good teams all season. We will find out on Sunday if they are all they are cracked up to be. I suspect not.

The Majority of the AFC teams will have schedules stacked with losing records as on a whole the AFC was the poorer of the two leagues. What can the Pats do about their record? They play in a division that is poor this year and played the AFC West. But the Steelers lost to Denver in the Playoffs and the Pats destroyed Denver. We could go all day comparing games and divisions and records but none of that mean anything in the playoffs. When you get to the playoffs you are better off wiping the slate clean as it doesn't matter how many wins or losses you had in the regular season or well you played. Its how you rise to the challenge of the playoffs. The Pats have been both successful with this and also the victims of this. Just ask the Steelers and Packers did regular seasons records mean anything.

But as we are playing this game you do realise though the Ravens lost 3 games to bad teams. Chargers 8-8 Jacksonville 5-11, Seahwaks 7-9

It's hard to describe just how useless I think this stat is.

We'll start with the obvious: a team can only play what's in front of them. Not our fault we had an easy schedule. Actually according to Football Outsiders we had the 26th hardest schedule. I'm sure you'll agree that all these teams were not what they're cracked up to be:

    Ravens 21st
    Packers 28th
    Steelers 29th
    Texans 30th
    Saints 31st
    49'ers 32nd

huh guess most playoff teams aren't that great.

Just lol at "literally" beaten no good teams. We're 7-0 against teams with a .500 record. Playing the Patriots will increase your chances of having a losing record.

We've beaten every team we should, same can't be said of the Ravens.

plus, the Patriots played winning teams at the time.

if you have to look at the Patriots 15 games (excl game 1), of those when they played the side, the record of winning or .5 sides at the time is 9 teams. sounds better than 2 teams anyway, but in any case, I dont really see the point of it. You beat whats in front of you.

    We'll see anyway tomorrow.

Being able to put away poor teams is useful, but it's not something you need in the playoffs. I'd much rather be a team that has beaten the good teams they've played if I'm in the playoffs.
