I remember thinking at the time there was nothing wrong with tackle when I watched game. The picture appears to show Kayal's boot was higher. I can't remember whether this was the case or not Dempsey. It is not unreasonable to assume this was the case from looking at pic? Surely you can accept this? Fair enough? It really didn't warrant your terse response to be fair.

I can remember whether it was the case or not because I posted up a youtube video whilst we were discussing it because the pictures gave a false impression of several things that actually happened in the tackle. This is not the first time you jumped in with comments that immediately showed that you made a half arsed effort in reading what people were posting.

I am on a phone Dempsey, I couldnt access video. I simply commented on what I saw Dempsey. There was nothing half arsed about my response. Anyone who saw what I saw would have come to same conclusion to be fair Dempsey.

Christ, I'll take it all back about McCulloch if it stops the trench digging....

Nah, the guy is a hatchet man. Do not look at one incident and judge!

Maybe so but the point is he was not to blame in that incident

Back to league action tomorrow, I'm expecting a tough game. Utd have had a poor start to the season but have improved somewhat and I don't expect it'll be like the last home game if we do win.

Celtic need to be attacking from the start - Hooper and Stokes to start up front for this one hopefully. Not sure if Forrest is fit, some viral thing, hopefully he's ok for it also - himself and Wanyama are in good form at the moment.

3 point please Celtic, keep them chasing.

Hooper didnt play the cup match because of a 'niggle' but then again, it was a needless risk to play him.

BTW, Lennon and Wanyama won the monthly awards, both fully deserved.

Interesting press conference from Lennon today when they put the 'Steven Fletcher theory' to him. He said that 'Hibs wouldnt do business' with Celtic. Media reports at the time have quotes from Fletcher wanting to move and Celtic looking to do a deal but Hibs were holding out for a price. Its fair to say that Hibs would do business if the price was right, they havent been shy about it, and its still a case that Celtic werent offering what they wanted and in hindsight, with the failure of Fortune and Murphy and the potential resale value of Fletcher, it would have been better concede the amount they wouldnt have refused.

Pretty much agree with everything else he said about transfers, the transfer window and the quality within the squad though

Practically every time Lenny speaks he hits the nail on the head and I agree with him. That's why, even when we were 15 points down, I still thought he's deffo the man to drive us forward.

I've been avoiding the "old firm website superthread" thread all week, it's been horrendous over there. :D

I like Lennon alot because he speak his mind but I do remind myself that he is a Celtic employee with certain duties and responsibilities. He has admitted that Dermot Desmond has criticised his conduct in certain scenarios and asked for a more media pleasing response. So since he first took the job, he has had to bite his tongue at times with what he want to do and say, especially since the 'altercation' with McCoist.

I didnt have a problem with Lennon putting his foot through the water bottles against ICT, should have put through a couple of the players at HT imo. I was actually wincing because he could have easily broke a bone in his foot! I think he's even grown his hair back on advice from Desmond imo.

I do find myself wondering more and more if there is any politics of the job stopping him from speaking his mind and what comments to take as they are and which ones to read between the lines. His speech after the Ross County defeat nearly won him the job on its own imo, very few managers can say that.

I don't remember reading too many posts of support for Lenny at the time, in fact it was quite the opposite any time I logged on here! ;) In fact, I think you were completely missing Bob!! Hmmm

Looking forward to seeing Izzy starting today!

Its going to be a tough day at the office I reckon, 2-1

Glad to be wrong, 2-0 now, what a finish by Wanyama, again!

Celtic are now 15 for and 3 against in 4 games and 20 minutes against Utd.

We all have our Motherwell i guess.

Or our Aberdeen last season, what was it, 21 for?

Celtic are playing very well. It's incredible what confidence can do for form, and vice versa.

Celtic were cruising but its now 2-1, a thunderbolt by Rankin.

Pernis is the only player preventing this becoming a hammering. Great save from Stokes before half time and a couple already 2nd half.

And there's the Utd goal. Rather it now than last 10 mins tbh, hopefully we'll get another couple now.

Woah, thought that was 2-2 there. Good save Forster.

    What a save by Forster

Making Forster's move permanent would be a good idea....

Utd playing much better since their goal, causing us problems. We know they can play better than they did first half. I hope we're not going to be left regretting those missed opportunities we created early 2nd half.

Hard luck Sammy, decent chance from some good build up play.

Job done. Tight in the end as predicted, but not for lack of chances. Celtic should have had that put away tbh at half time, but it happens like that. Pernis kept them in it with somefine saves. Deserved win overall. 11 wins on the bounce.

Made hard work of that in the 2nd half, even resorted to going to the corner flag with the ball again, 3 points is all that matters though.

Should have been so much easier. If We'd went 3-0 up it would have been a stroll.Celtic need to be at least 3 up in a match before I start counting my chickens.:) Maybe its just me, but that game should have been dead & buried after 20 mins. Anyway, We're still top. The winning streak we're on is unreal.Samaras looking like a half-decent player again.

Delighted that we are showing determination to hold on to our players. I think Southampton are deluding themselves if they think they are in the running to sign Gary Hooper. It will take a bigger club and a lot of money to tempt Celtic to part with Hooper. Silly money as Lenny puts it.

Well, Andy Carroll got a transfer fee of 35million.Hooper scored more goals in the championship with lowly Scunthorpe than Carroll got with the promoted Newcastle.Hooper is a much better player than Carroll. It just proves how utterly insane the transfer fees are in England. If Carroll is 35 Mil, I want 45mil for Hooper:D.Its only right.

He's not a better player than Carroll. yes, it's not working for him at Liverpool, but id be very confident he'd score more goals then Hooper would in the Prem. You do realise Hooper's been playing against Scottish teams these past 2 seasons right? Worse level than the championship.

Yet you ignore their head to head record when playing in the Championship which, inconvientently for you, Hooper won.

Not inconvenient at all, Im taking everything into account. So Hooper's a better player because he scored more goals in the championship? I think Hooper's a good player, but I don't think he's a better player than Carroll. IMO I think Southampton would be a very good move for Hooper, would probably be playing Premiership next year.
