I have a ps3 and apple tv connected to the one tv. If I change the ps3 to america and leave the apple tv as is, does that mean I will have access to both the Irish and American sites?

Yeah should do. I know some ppl have done that with a PS3 for UK/ Ireland content and a 360 for the US store and vice versa.

Somebody else mentioned that earlier. Seems to be a problem unfortunately.

Have got the US Netflix up and running on my PS3. Working flawlessly!!

So basically after a week of this, I have to pay the monthly sub of $4.99 to keep using those DNS settings?

Also, will this work for accessing Hulu or am I asking a bit much? :D

They might do what livefootyonline do, if two people access the service at the same time from two different IP's they cut you off.

The US version of netflix doesn't do this, nor the Canadian version.
So I'd say it's safe to say you can go halves with someone if you just want it on one or two devices.

Bit annoying for Xbox users that you need Xbox live.

Watching the US version now through the ps3 (thanks Sparrow).
Bit surprised the US site doesn't have Dexter, yet Irish version has seasons 1&2, anyone know why?

Showtime have their own streaming service in the United States would have been my guess but then the likes of Weeds are on Netflix.

    Good question.

How does the us blocking service know to stop working after a week? If it works off my IP address then what happens if I just renew my IP address via DHCP from my Internet provider?

Can anyone explain how it works?

Is there any way you can view the entire US Catalogue as only a limited number are on the XBox browser?

Also could you be banned for using the US access hack?

Crikey my PS3 has really come to life now. Have US Netflix, BBC iplayer, ITV player, 4OD and RTE player installed on it.

There's also an American HD video service called VUDU that you can install. It's movies rentals but they give you $6 free so you can rent a movie for free. Just enter an email address and the credit is added. 1080p and 7.1 sound.

Sign up for a UK Playstation store account. It's free and you can make up an address. When you done that go over to your video section where Netflix is. There's a rainbow coloured icon above this. Click on that and it expands and has links to download them.

No VPN. The US unblock sorts them all. Not chopping and changing between UK and US VPNs, it just plays them. I've also installed the BBC iplayer app, NBC app and ABC app on my iPad and they all work too.

Adox, I setup a UK account but I don't have that rainbow section in TV to allow me to install Iplayer etc. It has definitely changed to UK though as I now have a Lovefilm icon. I tried updating Home but no luck.

    Any ideas?

Edit: Ignore. I didn't realise you had to press up in the TV section to see it. D'oh!

Ok folks I finally got the wii to cooperate but youre not going to like it. You most probably need it to be modded as you need the US channel; ours doesn't seem to work. I changed the wii's region (its one lying around as the disk drive is broke so I didn't care if I bricked it) and downloaded the US channel. When I ran that I got a horrible black screen. A tonne of reading up on it and found that I had to change the video output to ntsc for it to work.
Giving this machine to my folks now!
I might do a write up in the wii modding forum but there are probably much better people over there that have already got an easier way of doing it!

Ah nuts. So I got UK Iplayer installed but every time I click on it, A page from unblock.us comes up telling me I need to enter my email to check service status but I can't do that with the PS3 controller.

So I guess they are monitoring usage and we will all have to pay for it after the one week trial. Anyone any ideas how to get around this?
