Just to say that Virtua Racing looks all kinds of awesome-sauce on the Nomad, particularly on a screen modded device.

    ps, it also looks amaze-balls...

Oh I forgot to mention, it's the NTSC Jap version. I have two copies of the PAL one at the moment but neither play due to PAL optimization! Really looking forward to that.

On another note, I just bought Canabalt for the C64. Only comes to around €24 after postage. Not only does it kick ass, I'd imagine it'll only go up in value as it's a limited release.

Yeah I kinda want to get it myself, for pure collectors sake, Dont have a C64 even!

I have the PAL and US Ntsc versions.
    And the 32X.
    And the Saturn.
    And the PS2....

All I need is the arcade machine in my living room now.....

Afaik and I'm guessing here because I'm not too technically minded but the 50 60 hz is determined by the console and the mod is the same as the region one. At least on a mega drive model 1 it is.

Interesting, Jaleco and Natsume developed both so different developers. So it's either some weird japanese cultural thing or else Natsume and Jaleco had a very close working relationship which would also make sense.

The Wonderswan seems to be the first console that has you trembling with the chance the game could be unintelligible.
Given you have played japanese schoolgirl dressing up sims I find this hard to believe...

The corner of my boards page has an ad from the dublin business school, looks like a school for hipsters if you ask me.... did Johnny got there?

Is Mr. Ultimate an actual official hipster?

Japanese schoolgirl undressing sims actually. For god sake how can you not make that distinction, it's a completely different genre!

You'd have to ask the official arbiter of such matters, but he hasn't posted here in a while.
But at last count he definitely featured on the hipster spectrum, it's really just where on that continuum that puzzles us now...

I have a physical inability to don tight trousers. Trust me you don't want to see the attempt. Auto disqualification from the hipster AGM in American Apparel.

I'm actually embarrassed to say I have a SealKay sweater that cost me €780.

Not sure if that qualifies as a hipster or just bloody stupidity. :(

'Twas a long while ago. It's some hand made cashmere couture yoke. Essentially it's a grey sweater. It just cost a lot. :o

Was that during your Cayman Islands lottery win phase? :pac:

Anyone else getting asked for a postal code a lot lately? Seems every time I buy something, they go to post it and the office says they need a post code.

French dude didn't send out the supergun today as they were asking for a postal code in the post office.

How can post offices not know Ireland doesn't have any?!

I always put it in the notes when I buy anything. Had problems before with that, not any more. People can't seem to fathom that one out.

I got it again yesterday when I was talking to the guy that got my copy of Famitsu Weekly. Had to reiterate Ireland doesn't use post codes.

RE: My SealKay sweater, I bought that before I lived in the Cayman Islands. No need for a sweater there! :)

Talking of eBay purchases. Peeved I lost out on an Irem PCB because the seller flat out refused to post it to me so he cancelled the transaction. Even though I offered a choice of UK or Ireland and he said he only shipped to UK he still wouldn't ship it to me. Feck it, more money saved in the Batrider fund. :)

    What Irem game was it?

I had a drawing shipped out from the UK recently. The postal address was mine, but with a NI postal code and it said 'UK'.

I contacted the seller saying that the address was wrong and we don't have postal codes - and I'm not in the UK. but that I'd let him know if it arrives.

Parcel arrives, I tell him and he replies with -

Ah, so it seems you DO in fact have postal codes. I found that one online'

Sorry mate, I think I know my own damn address! And it ain't in the UK! Was just a fluke that it arrived.
