He didn't play the sax on Baker Street. He was one of the first to play James Bond, though.

But that's sad to he's died.

Sad that RIP, never knew he was a James Bond well well.

Used to love listening to him on BBC Radio.
He was great. Not over bearing like some, just pure entertaining and genuinely funny at times.
    Rest in peace Sir.

I used to like when people asked if they could have a p please Bob.

Then it all changed in the 90's with students asking Bob for an 'e'.

Whoa, thats spooky. I was watching blockbusters last night and somebody asked if he was dead, and I checked online and it said no, he's still knocking around.

RIP Bob, I hope they all do that blockbusters dance by the graveside.

He always had very nice neck ties too.

RIP. Apparently he loved the (false) story about him playing the sax on Baker St and didn't everything he could to spread it!

I'll have the Blockbusters theme in my head for the afternoon now.

First Richard Madley. Now Bob Holness.

And Noel Edmonds is still breathing. Makes you sick.

    RIP Bob.

I loved Blockbusters, I even had the game.

Watching Blockbusters always meant that I have the evening free, as I'd finished all my homework.

RIP Bob, a safe onward journey, and I'll always remember the evenings watching you, sitting in front of the fire!

Always loved Blockbusters and delighted to see it being rerun on one of the Satellite Channels (thats gonna be my ringtone for the next while).

Bob was a gent, great presenter and generally a smooth operator. RIP.

I was wondering the same, I'd say as a result of that post, Richard Madely has topped the searches in google in Ireland! I know I googled him!

I'm sure a quick Wikipedia edit would set tongues wagging.

    Cause of death anyone?
