Good result, good performance 1st half, great to have Izzy back. Hopefully we can keep this run going a bit longer. Good competition for places at the minute too.

Could be a Hoopy New Year!

Another good result today for the bhoys. Good to see Stokes get on the score sheet after a bit of a lull period. A good goal also by Wanyama who again had a cracking game. Bad judgement in the windy conditions by the Pars goalie for Mulgrew's free kick goal. Delighted to see Izzy make his comeback coming on near the end. 10 League wins in a row now, allCeltic fans must be happy with that.

A break now in the league as it's Scottish Cup next weekend. It would be good to see the likes of Izzy,Kelvin Wilson and Commons starting against Peterhead after recent injuries. I read online that Bangura scored recently in a game for the development team in a friendly, another player who might start next Sunday.

According to the BBC and Martin Conaghan, Stokes is Northern Irish

Solid collective performance by Celtic today in what looked like brutal playing conditions. The result was never in doubt once Stokes curled in that brilliant opening goal and what a bonus to see Izzy come on for the last 10 minutes or so.

Great result through there today. Our two biggest cheers of the day were for Big Vic going off and Izzy coming on.
10 outta 10 for The Bhoys

The run continues and if the other mob slip up next we have a little daylight between us. Good to see such a large away support there.

    Where were you reading that?

    Where were you reading that?

I was listening to the commentary on BBC Scotland and they said that a group of Dunfermline fans tried to rush the Celtic fans and the police and sewards went in and throw at least one Dunfermline fan out.

I have not seen any other reports of it

Of course not, now imagine that situation involved Celtic or Rangers fans. We'd be struggling to find the score of the match amid Daily Record mockrage.

The ESPN commentator mentioned someone being ejected during the game and you could hear the crowd react to something. As Eirebear said if this was Celtic or Rangers fans we'd be hearing a lot more about it.

Great result yesterday. Vital to follow up an Old Firm win with victory as it can be a dangerous period to drop points. Roll on the next game.

Celtic being linked with a move for Sean St Ledger.

St Ledger is currently out of favour at Leicester.

Before he moved to Leicester, we were linked with him every transfer window for years.

I know, but if we were to get him at a good price I think he'd be an addition to the club. Surprised he's out of the picture at Leicester, he has played well for Ireland when I've seen him. Because he's out of the picture at Leicester we might get him for 2 million maybe.

I think we should be looking at offloading players. Fair enough I think St.Ledger would do a job but we are well covered there now. Mulgrew, Rogne, Big Dan, Loovens, Wanyama, Lustig, Wilson.

The area where we need to strengthen would be up front for me and it's not like we're stuck for options there too..

I think at the right price St Ledger would be a good signing, Loovens should be moved on if possible and not sure how much longer Big Dan will be around although before his injury he was putting in his best performances for us.

I'm not sure we're under pressure to sign anyone unless they are a definite step above what we have or are promising young players. I'm sure as usual we'll be teased with quality and end up with youth.

Yeah I'd try to move Loovens and a few others on asap.

Agree with you on the youngsters. We should be trying to sign the next Wanyama, Matthews or Forrest every window. They represent value for money and minimum risk. At the moment the squad has plenty of promise.

I don't see much movement in this window. Robbie Keane on loan anyone?

What about in 6 months time? Getting him now could save us a headache in 6 months time. Lustig is a FB, Loovens very average, Big Dan's contract is up in the summer and I'm still not convinced by Rogne.

Lustig can play there I read.
Agree with Loovens. Big Dan could be here for another year yet..
Rogne needs a injury free run in the team.

It all depends on how much St.Ledger would cost. I think he does a good job for Ireland but he isn't a world beater. I wouldn't pay over the odds for him.

Yeah we've singed some very promising young players and most have improved in their time with us, that should help us attract similar players and also help us command decent fees if these players move on.

I think we should have a clear out of fringe players, i think if Dan comes back and shows the same form he'll get another year. I wouldn't be too harsh on Ronge, he's still young and players with far more experience have turned to s**t playing in our back 4.

Rogne and Mulgrew = no more problems at centre half.

See some of the rags in England linking Ki with a £6m move to Aston Villa would be hard to turn that down if true. Views??

I wouldn't mind it for the right price. He's an excellent player but we have a wealth of choice in the midfield area where Ledley is gonna find it hard to get a game when Kayal is fit and Izzy is back where he belongs.

It's a nice problem to have.:)

Wouldnt be hard at all considering his commercial value

Tempting alright, it all depends on whether we can afford to keep him around while still strengthening. We're pretty strong in midfield right now, so if it was a case of swapping Ki for a decent striker, I would not be against the idea. Would prefer to keep him though so long as we could still strengthen.

We have to make sure we keep all of Hooper, Kayal, Forrest and Wanyama - these guys have been critical to our recent form.

When you stand back and look at it, Lennon is quietly building a decent team there. I'm interested to know where he plays Lustig. Matthews is playing well at RB and we have Wilson and Cha as backup there.

Mark Wilson & Cha Du-Ri have contracts until the end of this season with the club having the option of a further year if they want.

Celtic are in a very strong position, personnel and contract wise, when it comes to right back. Matthews and Lustig are the long term options whilst Cha & Wilson are being kept on their toes about getting another year.
