    Sorry for sounding overly cynical but the whole thing sounds set up...this is a pet story on winter '47 and then the caller is harping on about Duffy's work on liveline mirroring Made Marian.

    Somebody has a book out about this at the moment. Heard discussions on this on several programmes at least 2 weeks before Christmas.
    De Valera's government behaved disgracefully at the time. No surprise there.
