    A recent book, though not sure if published in 2011, which I enjoyed:
    "Written in Stone: Evolution, the Fossil Record, and Our Place in Nature" by Brian Switek

    I've read this by Dawkins. It's for children between 8 and 80. I learned loads.

    Does it have to be 2011?

    I'm partial to The Fabric of the Cosmos by Brian Greene.

    And in 2011 the CERN guys claimed to have proved the basis for his great book was :eek:

    Still waiting for a conclusion on the claim that neutrinos can do warp factor 1.000000000000000000000000000001 ! :D
