Did anyone say he had a great game ? I think I missed that.

What pleased me in the second half was you can see how it's possible that we might get something out of him in future, good early crosses.

Downing dwells on the ball way too much, some of that is just his nature other times it's because Carroll isn't in the box. Johnson can't cross for toffee, Enrique doesn't seem to like hitting proper crosses either.

We need to abandon the wingers playing on the wrong side if we're to get the best out of Carroll. And maybe consider Kelly at RB, cos that boy can cross.

Agree with all of this except the Enrique part. Bar Gerrard in the last 30 mins last night I think Enrique has tried to play to Carroll's strengths more than anyone in our side. If you watch back all the minutes he and Carroll are on the pitch together this season you will notice him puttin in quite few crosses, early and byline ones, trying to find Carroll and he even shouts at him a couple of times to try harder. Remember they played together at Newky sure and Enrique knows how to play with Andy.

Arsenal and Chelsea to come to Anfield in the second half of the season. As they say in football, "its in our own hands...". Win all our games and we're guaranteed 4th ;)

I'd be more confident if we had to go to them.

higuain from real madrid would be an awesome buy

If he was available, he'd be my first choice by some distance. But I don't think he'll leave Real anytime soon. So factoring that in, Soldado would be my first choice as those who follow on me on Twitter are fully aware of due to my rants :pac:

    Newsflash,
    Suarez banned for 8 games,
We forget? That could ruin our chances of 4th ,
Hope we get striker in, on load or something

Carroll on his own up front with Gerrard behind and Kuyt as an option tbh.

I don't see us bothering with another striker.

Good chance to take advantage of slips ups today
Going to City, they will have played just 2 days before
Although these are the games Lucas is really missed !

Its an option that won't get goals (apart from Gerrard chipping in with a few).

    We NEED a striker tbh.

Some great results today, things could have looked alot better given we have dropped so many points at home but happy enough all things considered, what a difference a year makes.
