    Hello folks,

I am involved with a Camera group and we are trying to arrange some days out around Monaghan/Louth over the next 6 months. Our plan would be to cover a few sites in a day. Places where there are lakes, rivers running through towns and villages, rolling hills, Old buildings, Historical sites.........

We are basing our days out on "Hidden Ireland" and hopefuly our images will show the beauty of North East.

    Thanks in Advance
    LeoB

Rossmore park situated outside Monaghan town is pretty nice this time of year especially with the scattering of snow at the moment. Its got a large lake as well and a mausoleum on site.

    • As above; Rossmore Park, lakes, walks, walled gardens, landscaped gouunds for miles - find the Rossmore/Westerna family Mausoleum (although undergoing works atm).
    • Glaslough Village & Castle Leslie - plenty to photograph.
    • Lough Muckno, Castleblayney.
    • St Peter's Lake, North Rd, Monaghan Town.
    • Clones - site of quite a few movies.

    ...to name a few.

There's also some ring fort sites around, one in Rossmore and another around Cornamunady.
