    Another xmas present sorted.
Thanks Op and the bumper of the thread.

As a bonus (so far, hasn't shipped) my order included this for some reason, I didn't add it - Wireless Mouse M305 Red Tendrils £29.99 - sold as £0 to me!
Haven't a clue why it was there but invoices received and checkout had this as £0!
Total discount on both £68.99. Total price paid £22.49
I'm confused but happy as that completes my xmas gift thing without getting homicidal going shopping in Dublin (if it goes through)

I ordered one of these last week and specified Paypal as my payment method. Usually when I pay by Paypal, I get redirected to Paypal to confirm the payment. This time I didn't and I got a cancelled order email from them a few days later saying that payment hadn't been received:mad:

Good to have a second shot at it - I paid with a credit card this time (and also got the free mouse - weird).

I went for the 650 on Friday cos these were out of stock. God damn it. I got the mouse though. Was holding off til dispatch before mentioning it on Boards!

Guys don't forget if you register a product (whether you have it or not) you get a voucher for 20% off. Just make sure to set your location to the UK or else they'll send a voucher that'll only work on the Irish site, which is way more expensive.

Feck it, went and ordered one of these. Should cut down the 3/4 remotes to the one I guess! If it comes in time that mouse might make a nice gift for someone else too.

I got my Harmony 600, last week. Set it up last night.......It is deadly.....dont know how I survived without it already:D

Only disadvantage about the 600 is I can't re-order activities (like my Harmony One).

You can have two activities on the screen at one-time on the 600 - I have 'Watch Freesat' and 'Watch Blu-ray' on one screen and have 'Watch Apple TV' when I press the key to see more.

But 'Watch Apple TV' and 'Watch Freesat' are the more used of the two.. but can't figure out how to get 'Watch Apple TV' onto the initial screen... it doesn't appear to be the order in which you add activities or alphabetical!

    :(

Got the despatch notice for this today so should actually get it for Christmas Id say!
Free mouse is listed on the despatch too which is nice since it actually costs £26 on amazon!

    Edit:

Mine arrived this morning. I've an issue with teletext though. To get teletext on RTÉ with the regular Sky remote I had to press TV and then text. With the Logitech I was able to set up (under the Watch TV menu) Sky Text and RTÉ Text, but all the RTÉ Text button does is turn on/off the text. The arrow keys, colour buttons, and numbers that should control the teletext don't, instead they still control the Sky box in the background.

I can click Devices > TV model > Teletext and it works that way, but it'd be better if the shortcut on the screen worked instead.

Anyone any tips, or in a similar situation?

When you hit the arrow or a colour button, hit the Help button and it will connect the remote to the tv and then ask you if it solved the problem, Yes/No at either side of the screen on the remote. That works for me anyway.

thanks to the op for original bargain alert.

i have one question can you control a blu ray player with it?i cannot find it listed in the drop down menu or maybe im not looking hard enough?

    any ideas?

    thanks.

Now that I've had the chance to compare the 600 & 650 models side by side, I'd recommend the 600 over the 650 for a few reasons:

    - the black text on the silver body of the 600 is a lot easier to read than on the gray metalic of the 650.
    - better back lighting on the keys of the 600 makes them easier to see in a darkened room
    - 600 motion sensors seem more sensitive than the 650 when the remote is picked up (could be just an issue with the particular 650 I got).
    - the colour logos on the 650 don't make that much of a difference in terms of usability (some logos are actually worse than text)

Anyone else having trouble setting theirs up? Keep getting a server error (for last few days). I'm not the only one apparently: http://logitech.lithium.com/t5/MyHarmony-com/SERVER-ERROR-on-December-25th-amp-26th-2011/td-p/760977/page/4

Very bad show from Logitech - there should be standalone software if their servers aren't up to it.
