Haha I'm clearly joking? And I'm far from being "so privileged", my father got it as an upgrade and he didn't have a clue how to work it.

EDIT: Actually, I'm gonna delete that previous post, just re-read it and I came off as such a pretentious cuunt, I can see why you replied like that :pac:
Sorry, my reply was bitchy, lets just forget the whole thing :o

I am so hungry and it hurts too much to eat. I spent almost all day in bed and didn't even get to spend time with my brother.

Christmas is normally my favourite time of year and I was looking forward to it so much :(

Christmas day is so dull in my family. I wish my extended family were about, they'd certainly make things a little better.

My dad's still downstairs with the tv absolutely blaring, just go to bed. And it's a subtitled movie he's watching so I have no idea why he has it so unnecessarily loud...

Every year it's the same thing. I look at how other people celebrate Christmas day and it's family dinner, chatting, jokes, watching Christmas telly together, playing games... It's fun.

My family? They get drunk. Sure, they try to do all the Christmassy things and up until about 4 o'clock in the day it's fine, but after that it's just a case of who can get more locked. The worst part is that they drag me into it. It's all "come down and play the guitar for us" "play this" "play that" and if I don't feel like playing they call me a killjoy and act odd. I'm not some sort of dancing monkey, I'm not and alcoholic and I'm sick and tired of the same crap every year.

Have you told them how you feel? Maybe if they knew it bothered you so much they'd calm it down a bit?

It won't make much difference to tonight but yeah, I'm planning on saying it tomorrow. It's mostly down to one of my cousins tbh, if she calmed it down and drank a bit less the whole night would be ten times as enjoyable.

Ah you did nothing wrong, anyone would have reacted like that, a poor choice of words on my part.

Forgotten, tis the season sure :P

I didn't drink until recently when I turned 18 and since I've hardly drank and I've never been drunk in my life. I hate alcohol and the effects it has on people and that's reason enough for me to minimalise the amount I drink for as long as I can. I know well how bad it can make things. Sorry if today was particularly bad for you:(

I've been so sick since I came home last week and despite doctors and tablets I'm not one bit better. I want to eat and go out and party but I feel so so awful. :(

I'm sick :( I think it might be food poisoning :(

The 'rents were debating whether or not the turkey should be left in for longer yesterday. Dad wanted to leave it in, but mum insisted that it'd be fine. I guess dad was right :P

I wish I could convince people to head out somewhere other than my local town, which I hate, and vowed never to go out in again.

I've been stricken by the very serious illness rhino-pharyngitis. At the moment they're only giving me heavy doses of dihydrogen monoxide and telling me not to move around too much. If the condition worsens they'll have to put me on more serious medications like phenylephrine.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,384 ✭✭✭Duffy the Vampire Slayer

Haven't you heard that dihydrogen monoxide is a highly dangerous substance responsible for millions of deaths?

Yeah I've been doing some reading and it's really scaring me, it's really disturbing how unregulated it's been. It's like just letting anybody have access to uranium ore. I suppose drastic measures are needed for these more debilitating illnesses, makes me wish it was cancer though. At least chemotherapy has a lower incident of fatality.

My sleeping pattern has gotten so ****. Last three nights I've gone to bed at three, failed to get to sleep til about five, woken up several times after that, before finally emerging from my bed after two in the afternoon. Kept waking up so often this morning that it was half three before I dragged my sorry ass out of the bed. Also, my dreams are getting more sinister. This afternoon I was involved in some battle between African tribes.. in my primary school's playground. I'm hoping alcohol will sort this crap out.

I wish I could convince people to head out somewhere other than my local town, which I hate, and vowed never to go out in again.

Here's a typical conversation had on a Sunday morning:

    "D'you head out last night?"
    "Nah. You?"
"Yeah, went to [INSERT NAME OF LOCAL NIGHTCLUB]."
    "How was it?"
"Pure sh1te! Never going back again. Worst club in the world!"

Three guesses as to where they head the next weekend.....

I've vowed never to go back there though. No taxis + living in the middle of nowhere = Dad having to drive me home at 3 in the morning, when dad hates driving at night = me not being able to drink because he doesn't like to see me drunk = terrible night.

Unfortunately, this does mean I won't be going out tonight or New Year's, but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make to avoid the inevitable lecture that would ensue if I were to go out and get drunk.

*waits for someone to ask what dihydrogen monoxide is*

HDMI cable wont work :( No PS3 now...

I had this issue today. Had to plug in both component/scart and HDMI at the same time, go to AV on the tv, change the playstation settings to output HDMI, screen goes blank - then change to HDMI on tv, press accept, and remove component/scart!

Or hold in the power button so it searches automatically

Ah that would probably be more efficient, I'm only new to this. Santa got me and my brother a PS3 for Christmas this year, I'm so excited. First console we've had since the Sega Megadrive (which we still have!) - while I love computer games and all, it's good to be able to get a game and not worry about whether my graphics card is good enough, etc.

Turns out it was all just a bunch of words, more empty promises :(

    Its over.

Trying to keep the chin up. Things can always be worse. We had a great 2 years, loved every second of it but when it's gone it's gone. Gonna be tough to readjust literally my whole life but I'm gonna make the most of it. No tears this time, guess that's even worse! I just don't care anymore, I can't.

I don't even know how to be single :o but I'll sure have fun trying to learn again :P Fcuk it, life is too bloody short and I'm too young for this sh1t! Gonna start enjoying it again :)

    Mega Drive <3

Seems that we weren't the only ones with PS3 issues then :p The TV wasn't picking up anything on the side HDMI port when we connected the PS3 to it, which made things somewhat difficult since the TV is wall-mounted :(

The side port was working just fine then later when my cousin connected the Xbox... maybe PS3 is just sh!te :pac:
