How many games in a row though? Can't be many at all.

Fingers crossed it's not the case. :-/

He has played 3 league games in a row, Spurs/Wolves/Everton, thats his longest run.

Started 1 of last 6. 2 goals, no assists for season in league.

He wont be going anywhere in January anyway with Suarez ban in the pipeline.

There is no market for Andy Carroll's services. He'll be a Liverpool player for the foreseeable future.

His only defining talent for resale right now is his Englishness alright.

Would De Jong be the man to start banging them in right away? I'd be worried about a settling in period. And we don't really have that time.

I especially liked this bit ....
    :confused::pac:

    Bad online translation
In accordance with ajaxf-Side en would Liverpool an amount of no fewer than 45 million euro bear with me for the merits of both eriksen as vertonghen. If this would go ahead than the two may be reunited with old-ajacied Luis suárez, who went to England last summer.

Carroll to start today, will help limit Samba's aerial threat

Started five on the trot last season.

Really need to tear Blackburn apart today. Have a good record normally at home against them. Even won last year under Woy against them:pac:

There is no way I'm getting anyway excited or predicting three points today .

But if we don't win this then there will be some big questions asked and top4 aspirations will have to be revaluated.

    Don't underestimate today's and Fridays game .

Six points and we are well in the mix , get a boost and hopefully push on .
Fail and it could be the start of the rot .

That's how much I value the next two games.

Reina; Johnson, Agger, Skrtel, Enrique; Maxi, Henderson, Adam, Downing; Carroll, Suarez.

I like the look of that. Gerrard on the bench

    Edit:

    Subs bench:

Gerrard, Kuyt, Carragher, Doni, Shelvey, Kelly, Bellamy.

Decent options off the bench if Gerrard is able to play some part

Hmm, hard to know. Looks a bit lightweight in midfield at first glance. Blackburn might not be as physical as the past few seasons but we don't have much to boss them with there. Really hope Downing does something today, he's looking worse each time i see him.
I think its no harm giving Carroll time up front with Suarez cutting in. After all, we've scored fck all when Carroll hasn't played (giving him 5 minutes barely counts) ...therefore why not look at something else up top.
Looking forward to the game now.
    Bollix...Mata just scored.

What does Bellamy have to do to hold down a starting place? Unless its a fitness issue...

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,288 ✭✭✭ynwa_17

I think its a fitness issue. A point was made about it in the Wigan game. We also have quiet a number of fixtures over the cover weeks or two

Glad that Maxi's starting. Himself and Suarez play quality stuff together...

Could be interewsting see Gerrard, Carroll and Suarez combining...

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

    There is a match thread.

Am I alone in not being excited by the inclusion of Maxi?

His positional play is good but he offers little else, doesn't tackle, creates little and often disappears in games, but for some reason he seems to escape criticism and people love him.

Have you looked at his scoring record over the last 6 months?

Yes I have but most have been handed to him on a plate, and he created one against Fulham.

I know he's scored some goals but I think his overall contribution is poor in my opinion.

I'd include him solely on the fact that he seems to be on the same wavelength as Suarez.

Utterly sh1te. Big questions need to be asked.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,349 ✭✭✭doc_17

In the match thread people are wondering why every gk has a great game at Anfield but I'm wondering why every Liverpool striker is having a sh1t game at Anfield.

That last chace should have been bagged by Carroll...no ifs, buts or maybes...back of the net...end off.

This nonsense of not starting Bellamy has to end. Henderson offers NOTHING.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,347 ✭✭✭✭Grayditch

There we are. The result we were looking for. 1-1 agaisnt Blackburn Rovers, bottom of the league, at Anfield.

We don't deserve 4th, to be honest. Good luck to Arsenal and Spurs getting into the CL anyway, with the passion and consistency they're showing.

No it was the missed header that riled me. I twas an open goal FFS and he puts it wide:rolleyes:

Its gonna be a big ask to make CL now. Ya cant keep dropping points at HOME against Swansea, Norwich, Sunderland and now Blackburn:mad:
