singer looking to start a band

hey people, 32 year old male from finglas area, ive only recently took up acoustic guitar because i write lyrics constantly and have had no one to put music to them over the years so am learning for that reason but i thought why not throw a post up here i love singing and have always wanted to be in a band, be warned though im no andrea bocelli but ill do this passionately. i am really looking for people to get together with and try create some good original songs and some covers too and see were it takes us.. i would love to start a band and find a circle to express ourselves and how we feel.. eventually i hope this could lead to gigs (after loads of practice of course)... my influences are pretty much anything that floats my boat, but dylan, the frames, oasis, coldplay, declan o rourke, the beatles, embrace, radiohead and on and on i could go but its mainly real musicians/songwriters that do it for me... so i guess it be an indie/rock vibe.. i would be looking for at least one guitarist,a drummer, bass player and keyboard/piano player too... somewere to jam will have to be arranged between the band/circle at the time of creation but thats not of importance just yet anyway im throwing this post out and hope to here from some like minded people real soon...
