Ok so festive season just around the corner, Ive just found out that Im pregnant, 4 weeks :-) I dont want anyone to know and I never go out/ have people over without having a drink so people will cop it straight away, I dont want this as such early days. Looks like Ill have to go down the non alco road. So, anyone seen the alcohol free kopperberg anywhere in Dublin? I dont drink beer and I know the alco free wine is meant to be crap. Anyone tasted a nice one?

Becks is a popular non-alco beer and less vile than the rest.
Cant comment on the wine. Never tried a non-alco one.

    Some good techniques

    - Find a weak excuse why you HAD to drive and sadly you cant drink

    - Develop a love of G&T ( without the G)

    - Say that you did the dog on it last night and are sick to the gills and cant face a drop tonight ( only works if you socialise with a different crowd each night).

I did this once and only got caught by the only other person at the party who was sober. Once everyone else had 2 drinks, they didn't notice a thing once I had a glass of something in my hand.

Get two bottles of Cidona put in a Bulmers glass. Will taste a lot better than 0% beer.

I'd imagine any alco-free beers or wines will say so on the label so you'll have to pour them at the bar to keep the secret.

It's probably be easier to just buy a mixer on it's own and pretend you're drinking shorts.

    Congrats!

PS: Schloer is a very nice 0% alternative to wine, it might not help keep the secret but worth bearing in mind as you'll still be off the booze after the secret gets out.
