I might get a bit of stick for this but anyway!

Carroll is being completely wasted at Liverpool! I hope I'm wrong and he gets his chance and takes it but Liverpool aren't helping him at all.

When he was brought on today Downing and Bellamy should have been swapped and be whipping a few balls in. There were even times when there was the chance to cross it and instead the ball was just passed around.

Then we bring on Kuyt for Bellamy and still persist with Downing on the right. Why bother even bringing Carroll on!?

He must be frustrated coming on for 20 mins and then not even being used properly, it frustrates me anyway!

Highlights from Big Andy's performance today:

    Bit unfair...?

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

Kenny is trying to instill a decent brand of football and it's working particularly away from home.

We look dangerous in attack all the time.

15 points picked up on the road, 14 at home.

Centre back is a hugely important position and Carra playing visibly weakens the side. That my only beef (that and his big mouth and "threats" about getting games or walking which are just silly).

Mike, I think Carra did something to you in a past life. You seem to be obsessed with him !!

To be fair he got ten minutes and twice dribbled the ball through the box. Got away with it once and got caught out once in a situation which could have been more costly.

I would rather see Coates get a chance in that situation.

Great to get the result but I'm raging over Adam. Twice this season he has been through on goal with a man free to his left and he went for glory. His crossing and set pieces were awful too.

Suarez v.unlucky not to score. Bellamy man of the match for me. Let's get a result against Wigan now.

I have to agree here, he got zero service when he came on......its frustrating to watch, i am starting to worry about the lad at this stage....

Good result and performance from Liverpool today, happy with that. First half we played some really good stuff, quick passing and some long periods of possession in the Villa half, always nice to keep a clean sheet too and the back 4 seems to be gelling more and more every game. Thought Johnson and Enrique were both absolutely fantastic today, probably between both of them for MOTM for me, Bellamy not far behind. Shelvey done a fine job today, couldn't have asked for much more and he will only get better the more he plays with the team too. Adam, another very good game from him IMO.

Can see Henderson improving the whole time, looks for comfortable now than he did at the start of the season. I thought Downing had an okay game today. Can't really judge Carroll based on that cameo, foot was off the pedal for his time on the pitch too.

Overall comfortable win which is nice for a change, if Arsenal lose now we're level with them and only 3 points off Spurs and Chelsea, would consider us outsiders for CL places but it is definitely achievable, signings in Januray could be key.

Bellamy and Downing looked knackered at that stage and the game was over.

That's 5 Away wins, same as all last season and 4 more points than Roy had with 4 less games played.

Couple of results going our way would round of a good day.

He's a squad player now, no more.Everyone knows that now.

I thought he said recently that he knew he wasn't first choice and he was happy just to help out the team in any way he could.

Agger and Skittles have been very impressive together.

He had Shelvey and another man on his right, both free. Not one of his better games for me, did enough I suppose.

Shelvey was excellent and Johnson very good, Downing played well too.

Normally I would agree with you about how Andy is being used. Very often Carroll will come on for Downing even, explain that one to me if you can, however today by the time Andy came on we were 2-0 up and closing out the game. I thought we did this very well in fact so I'm happy with it. It's not like Andy came on at 1-1 and we needed a goal and the guys were doing what you are referring to in your post.

Perhaps, but it is hilarious! Bit unfair in this game I suppose, it's more like when he came on against....oh well any other team this season!

I know we were cruising and at that stage the game was over but still we could have catered to him some bit. In the time he was on there was only one cross into him from Kuyt who had to turn back before he could cross it!

I'm just frustrated because it happens time and time again and all you ever hear from Boards and talking to people is how **** Carroll is when there is a lot more to it then just that.

More to him than being sh*t or more to him than just being a player to get on the end of balls into the box?

Edit: Mis read the post....move along, nothing to see here.:o

There weren't even scraps for Andy when he came on.
It had gone very stale, it'll just add to his appearances without any fair chance of him banging goals in.

So if Spuds beat Chelsea, Arsenal lose or draw at Villa and we beat Wigan, we go 4th.

    Happy fcukin christmas.

Spurs play Chelsea on Thurs too so it makes the Wigan game a crucial one.

We are 8 goals worse off than Chelsea so it'd have be some victory over Wigan tbh.

I'm hoping for a Spurs draw tbh.
