I hope the Kenny one is true though.

I would believe the Gerrard one quicker :D.

Off topic, every time I see one of your posts I wince at the memories of getting a smack of one of those footballs on the leg on a freezing cold morning.

Bent is not good enough for LFC. Good finisher but other aspects of his game are lacking. Wouldn't be able handle the pressure of playing for a big club either.

There is much better value when players are bought from other countries rather than paying over the odds for English players.

Lorente, Soldado, Damiao wouldn't cost much more than Bent.

The yellow balls were great, more rubbery, the white ones were terrible for that though. Happy to help all the same. :p

Loving the Balague tweets, says people who replied to him are bad businessmen but he's the one in his original tweet who talks about paying £50m for a motorbike, methinks Geebag Balague needs a lession in business & finance :pac:

Lads as much as we would all love Torres to come back.
I honestly believe (while im not as knowledgeable as many others) that we would be better off paying that kind of money for a striker who is 1. younger, 2. In form.

Look at Carroll, obviously, there is a gulf in class, but we are still waiting for him to find his form after injury. Do we want another player like that?

Or would there not be more sense signing someone more like Suarez, fit and ready to go, with a (recent) record of scoring goals.

And its Ballbag, not geebag. My only lasting contribution to this thread!

And despite what i said about him at the time, he was right!

    the bleedin' BALLBAG!

What? How do you know this. For the record i don't want Torres back.

It's obvious that Carroll and Torres wouldn't work as a partnership. Totally obvious. Neither of them are great passers for a start.

Not trying to be funny or anything, but is this not what you were trying to do when buying Carroll?

I've tried being optimistic about the Carroll transfer, I really have. But at this stage now it just depresses me.

    And yes, yes it was.

I think the next sentence in my post covers that!

Essentially there is only one question that is relevant in this, if it transpires that he does want to come back. That question is "Does Kenny want him back?". If he does then all the gnashing of the heartbroken is irrelevant.

I think Torres really let Kenny down, I remember my da pointing this out on TV.
A look right into his soul, and torres couldnt meet it.

I want Torres back. Keep Carroll. Sell Kuyt (i love the guy, but sorry i think his time has come). A problem position for me is RM. Personally i think we should be training Bellers or Johnson to play there. We need a pacy winger that can whip in balls!

It's almost like the situation at United where Rooney wanted out, but was convinced otherwise and given a huge contract. Except this just went too far.

Would love to see him back at Anfield as I know United wont get him, and the only other real options would be Spurs, PSG, back to Athletico or perhaps an Italian club would come in for him.

It would never be the same, and a lot of fans might not want him back, but it could reignite him to get back to where he felt he has always belonged. Maybe he knew from day 1 the mistake he had made but there wasnt anything he could do about it.

I wonder how long it'll take them to figure out what he 'didn't' say

    start praying :p
The Football Association have today begun the disciplinary hearing into claims that Liverpool striker Luis Suarez racially abused Manchester United defender Patrice Evra.

Suarez has been charged with abusing Evra, and referring to his “ethnic origin and/or colour and/or race” by the FA.

The hearing is expected to last for two days with the outcome expected by the end of the week. Both players are due to give evidence to the hearing.

The charge followed a month-long investigation and the Uruguay striker immediately denied the accusation. Liverpool say they remain ``fully supportive'' of the 24-year-old.

ps. Shame on the FA for letting this drag on so long. The alleged incident took place TWO months ago. One word: Procrastination

It's a situation where a footballer's reputation is on the line. Don't you think they should take their time and carefully examine everything?

Two months is inexcusable. They could have had this done and dusted within two weeks

If they had any conclusive evidence it wouldn't take this long.
He'll be considered guilty at this stage by many factions regardless of the outcome.
