They were comparing him to rush going to juve for the 12 months and having a bad time of it and coming back and being better than ever. I don't think he is happy at Chelsea, a happy Torres is a goal scoring one I think.

    It's the Daily Fail :o

Anyway, here's why I'd love to see him back. Still the best CF I've ever seen play live. A goal machine.

I was just beginning to get over the Torres departure.

And now they are teasing us with these kind of stories :(

Yes, for 15-20m I'd bite their hands off.

Carroll back to Newcastle and Torres back to Liverpool in Jan? Stranger things have happened....

I'd be happy to see Carroll go if it were necessary to fund a move for an alternative, however if Torres was available for around the £20m mark, I'd hope it would be possible to hold on to Carroll and bring Torres back

I'm sure there would be competition from the likes of Malaga/PSG though

Can we say in February that Torres was Carroll + £5million? :P

And Xavi Valero has to come back too.

Chelsea rumored to be willing to listen to offers for Torres in January, would I take him back, I don't know, probaly yes maybe no.

I don't care about what happened with Torres last January but i would'nt want him back simply because he's not the same player he once was. Injury and lack of effort have ruined him. Doubt Chelsea would get that many offers for him in England maybe Spurs would have a nibble but can't see any of the big boys taking a chance on him.

I'd play him on right, Forget the goals, has a sweet right foot, :P

Would yas have him back lads ??

I can honesty say i would!! He never suited the way chelsea played and i could see him working well playing off suarez!

Time for him to come home once a red always a red!

He never really looked happy and this sums it up

I would laff like a possessed Punch puppet. It won't happen, if he were to be offloaded it would be to Spain - back to Atletico or maybe Valencia.

His reaction after we beat Chelsea at the bridge said it all for me, it's obvious he is'nt happy there.

Yeah exactly, his face even seemed to light up when he was talking to the lads!

Id welcome him back alot more as opposed to raul who can go rot.

I'd take him back but not if Carroll has to go out the door, the bloke deserves more than that. Torres had his chance while Carroll at the least deserves the rest of this season.

Id have him back in a heartbeat. That would be unreal. Can't see it happening though, probably back to Spain to rebuild his life & career

Injury hasn't ruined him. He was doing very well the season before he left. As for lack of effort, do you think that has ruined Carrolls career?

The only way it would happen IMO, Chelsea will look silly enough selling him on for half what they paid him without rubbing it in their own faces by selling him back to us....

Did the Ivory Coast qualify for the African Cup of Nations? Because if so, Drogba will be off there for a while, and Anelka's off anyway. They'll hardly let Torres go on the cheap if that's the case

I was thinking that as I was writing it! At least my gmail account wouldn't look so bad (ft9@gmail.com) Sur the password on my laptop is still fernando. I could also dig out all those jerseys & scarfs I have hidden away.

So yes I would be open to it happening in January

Carroll's lack of effort is more to do with not wanting to play for us imo. Injury has ruined Torres. He does'nt run or turn as fast as before and hardly ever bursts a gut to get into the box when Chelsea are on the break. Hey i hope i'm wrong and he regains form if he returns to Spain. Just my opinion on him.

Liverpool would have Raul back in a heartbeat, it was a huge blunder from Kenny letting him go, he is by far better than anyone ye have at the moment, hes better than Spearing, Henderson, Downing etc...

As for Torres, i think its laughable to suggest he is playing bad because he is heartbroken from leaving Liverpool, he is poor now due to bad injuries and lack of confidence, hes also lost a yard of pace which i don't see him getting back. He was another marquee signing by Roman that flopped. It was a big risk buying him on our part, but hey, he might come good who knows? doubtful IMO though.

Well if the deal went thru as quickly as it appeared to, who knows what was agreed and Im sure Abramovich didnt expect him to be this bad.....

I agree its probably complete BS....but we can dream!!!!:p

Lucas is far superior to Meireles and I would have Adam in my team before Meireles everytime as well.

No we wouldn't. As good as he is certain aspects of his game are way off. Can't tackle & rarely get 90 minutes out of him. Watch how many games he get's taken off after 60 / 70 mins? If Kenny rated him he'd have kept him. I'll trust his judgement

Torres is finished, washed up. Put it out of your mind.

If there is money (20 mil) there, and the club want to buy a striker, buy a player on the up, not on the way down. Put it towards somebody else.

Send Suarez and Coates on short holiday trips to Southern Italy, apparently the pizza around Napoli is very tasty indeed. Maybe Ezequiel and Edison like a bit of pizza?, would be rude not to ask the lads out for bit of nice grub while they just happen to be in that area.
