When will I start my exams? I'm just sick of studying with what seems like no end. Don't start until this Saturday with a week of exams. Worst thing about this year is year is that I have the last exam on the last day!

Christmas can't come soon enough. Co-op will be a relief away from all the stress...

    Are you serious...
Is that for anything under 55%?

Well it depends on your QCA, if at the end of the year your QCA is over 2.0 you only have to repeat and F's you get.
if its under 2.0 you have to repeat some of the D's to get the QCA up, All repeats are also capped at a C3, so you could study your ass off for it and get an A bout you'll never know cos it will only say C3.

Different lectures use different markings. 26% is a D in some cases. others you have to get over 40%. ask them and they'll tell you.

I really hope my maths lecturer/examiner find marks somewhere to get me a D. My QCA should be above 2.0.

Typical. You'd think people around here would have the decency to respect their surroundings?

    Dear worker men in Kilmurry,

I appreciate the fact the you have to put alarm thingumabobs on the doors, but would you mind being a tiny bit quieter when doing so? Some of us have study to do and don't really wanna hear shouting on top of the drills and hammering. Thanks.

    Regards,
Girl still in room 5 who can't concentrate

Compulsory for F grade, or a D1 or D2 if you need to raise your QCA above 2.0 to pass the year.

Different departments operate on different grading systems/curves so you can't really put a % point on it.

Just realised I won't be able to study for a large part of Monday's exam over the weekend because CSIS isn't open... odd that a department based around computers can't provide a computer lab for its students at the weekend. :\:\ Balls to that.

    What module?

Systems Analysis. We need access to a server to do sql and that server is only available in CSIS... guess I'll be learning it from internet tutorials. :\

(and obviously I will be studying it tomorrow and Friday, but it would be nice to be able to do a cram session on Sunday as well.)

All you need to know about SQL!

I'd be worried more about the other stuff in that module, but sure we've a few days to go over it.

    Cheers for that. :)

I'm in denial that the exam will be mainly SQL. :pac:

SQL stuff doesn't really need to b done on a computer. You should know the various commands anyway. That's Norah's module right? I failed that first time around :/

Oh, I know it doesn't have to be done on a computer, it's just it's far easier to understand (for me anyway) if you have her tables in front of you to work with. Hopefully I'll get a lot done tomorrow and Friday.

Yeah tis Norah's. Think I seriously underestimated the amount of work involved in that module to be honest.... will be hoping to scrape a C in it I think.... but it'll be touch and go. :

you sound like you're a great person to get advice from...if you want to fail the module.

get a mysql account on skynet and make a dummy table and start writing queries on phpmyadmin.
