    Hey,

I just thought I'd put this up to see if there is any interest out there for starting a hip-hop/ RnB/ poprock type band.

I'm a 25 year old drummer from Meath but willing to travel. This can be a live stage or studio project (have some really good producers if we go this route). I have a bass player who is up for this project so I would be looking for:
    Singer/Rapper
    Rapper
    Guitarist (possibly 2)
    Keyboard player

    [Age range is 18 - 28]

Get in touch if anyone is interested.
    Thanks,

Hey, that sounds like a really cool idea. I'm a punk/rock guitarist/vocalist but I've always wanted to get more into hip-hop. I'd love to rap or play guitar in something like this. I'm 21, based in Maynooth. My influences are pretty broad but I like a lot of old-school hip-hop like KRS-One and Public Enemy, plenty of dance, pop and other stuff like rihanna, calvin harris, Dizzee Rascal, etc. What sort of sound do you have in mind?

    Hey guys,

Thanks for the replies & sorry for the delay getting back to you.

At the moment, I'm listening to a lot of UK artists (Devlin, Tinie Tempah, Jessie J, Prof. Green etc.).
To be honest, Im not sure exactly what sound Im looking to put together. Im hoping that when I get the band together that it will come naturally. Im open to any sound that isnt Metal/ Blues/ Hard rock! I'm just bored with that type of music now.

    @RancidManiac13- Can you rap (well)???

Guys, let me know what sound you would like to aim for & we can see if we are on the same page! If you have any samples of you playing, PM me with them also!

Thanks & look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Hey AI86,

Sounds like some cool influences. I like that UK sound. Check out Sonic Boom Six. They mix up a lot of genres but it comes out really good. I'd love to do something a bit like that. Once I'm playing good music that people can dance to I'm happy though!

And yeah, I can totally rap. My writing would be stronger than my freestyle. I haven't had a lot of practice but I can definitely hack it with a bit of work. I'll try and get hold of some samples to send you.

Here's some SB6 for the moment:
