My mate has pulled out of going to Raindance but i still reckon ill go but it'll be tight money wise but a bloke i know in London who ive met at Raves before is going so ill hang out with him, he's a massive old skooler around 35 but amazingly still going to raves every other week i dunno how he does it:D

anyone know were best to recover data from a laptop hardrive my laptop got smashed to pieces lost all my tunes and tracklists from the asylumdevasted as you can imagine also if anyone could re post ed case sets from the asylum that would help aswell,,, hopefully i can recover the data

sounds like a total plank to be doin that..prob thinks hes a proper oldskooler now that he has tunes.and probly only a lil shwer shwer in his 20s

Fookin hell man what happened? An accident or was this an act of vengeance against you? ....... most of us spill coffee or alcohol on ours or at worst let them slip off our laps.

A tip for when you replace yours: I back up all my shyte on an external/portable HDD (just in case of such occurances)

In the meantime I'll see what Ed Case I have knocking about & throw them here for ya, i;m sure loads of peeps here will have more than enough to get you stocked up again!

....... come to think of it, the old thread should be littered with his sets n stuff!

I hope you realise I was been sarcastic in my praise of the little fooker? ......going on the '77' I assumed him to be atleast 34 so probably was around alright but never actually part of the scene (wanted to be but wasn't allowed) .......or maybe the '77' represents his local bus in which case he could be a "schwer schwer" lol ......although the 77 used to be my local bus too lol (now changed to the 27)

it fell from the top shelve it was a very old model ibm piece of ****e but had my whole archive of oldskool rare asylum tracks some that i had editesd myself mixes etc hours upon hours of changin pitch speed etc one fookin nitemare :mad: ,,, i know i should invest in one there not that expensive aswell ive been told,, i must say its like i lost a family member no exageration i worship oldskool everyday lol

oldskool of the asylum variety wouldn't be so rare if people shared track names, instead of takin them to their graves!!!! not like the uk scene that actually consisted of dubplates and unreleased tunes that still haven't seen the light of day, to this day. euro trance and techno was wide spread back then, thats why we got it, in abby discs no less

makes ya think what kinda cúnts actually promote the oldskool scene here doesn't it!?

If the drive is not damaged you might be able to plug it into a port on another PC, take out the drive & check it for damage, if it is still intact you will be able to bring it to a repair shop with another drive & they will transfer all the data easily, if it is damaged...........R.I.P.

Yep there is a good few channels like that popping up. I came across a channel a while ago that my old videos from 2006, on an old channel i had.

more than likely it is damaged,, brought it to an asian chap in parnell street he has a good reputation for this kind of stuff no joy from him, my only optipn left ive been told is it send it off to some lab where they bring it to some dust free room and inspect the drive under a microscope etc but it costs a minimum of 500 euro AS MUCH AS ID LOVE TO GET THIS DONE I SIMPLY DONT HAVE THE MONEY :mad:
