Budget would be between lets say 1000-2000?

wondering what you'd recommend most and why?

i was looking at the Roland RD700NX and it seems pretty good...

    Hey man,

I would say have a look at Kurzweil's range.

the PC3K range i think are their newest.

Guy Babylon used to play one of them (amoung others) in the Elton John Band.

I am not sure thats any help, but they look awesome.

Personally, i wouldn't spend that much on it, if i havnt played it first.

If you don't need the sampling feature, Waltons have a crazy discount on the Kurzweil PC3X:

    €1217.30

This is no longer made, as the PC3K has replaced it just beacause of the sampling feature, and it will probably be a while until the K model gets any discount. So for now there is about €1000 of a price gap.

They are virtually identical, the xd card input has been replaced by USB thumb drive input, and there are wooden caps at either end.
