Our Irish teacher has us just rote learning page after page of poetry answers. I'm just not arsed at this stage.

I'm meant to learn Motúcháin sa "Mo ghrá-sa (idir lúibíní)" anocht ach is cuma sa diabhal liom. Túgann sí an iomarca rúdaí dúínn agus cuireann sé isteach orm.

I'm getting so fat. I've never eaten as much rubbish in my life as I have in the last month. It's like bad food all the time. My face is gone even more chubby than before. Aaaaaah. Last night chips at 1am. This evening all you can eat pizza buffet thing. Monday McDonalds. Saturday all you can eat pizza thing again. And so much chocolate. Aaaahh. I need to change my ways. Hanging around with boys all the time is tough.

Add me on Skype/MSN for free halpz. Either that or PM me about whatever's troubling you and I'll e-mail on a few grammar/vocab resources I'm putting together.

Duuuuuude...the grammer resources would be awesome.
Though my lecturer did tell me I'm improving but I think thats because I'm the token retard in the class and he has to say something nice.:P

I have a few simple pages on the Tuiseal Ginideach, verb structures in the various tenses and on the rules about counting, and I'm slowly assembling something for with hints on when to add a séimhiú/urú/t roimh s. I'll add them to my Drop-box tomorrow and post a link on your profile as a visitor message.

I just saw this as I'm mentally preparing myself to study Irish and I kinda have to sort of disagree, they have changed it, I mean the oral's worth 40% so that puts a bit more focus on Irish that might actually be somewhat useful, instead of putting so much focus on poetry and prose and that sort of thing. I mean, the course is still a bit silly, but tbf it's changed for the better in the last year or so.

Tbh I'd forgotten about that, is this year the first year that the Oral is 40%?
See, I'd consider myself relatively fluent in Irish (getting less and less so everyday, but I can watch TG4 news and keep up) but the way it was taught was a joke, even though we'd a class teacher. Like, to me Stair na Gaeilge was interesting, but rather than actually be taught the history, we rote learned points from a book. Really helpful. Poetry, the same, there are so many good Irish language poems and songs out there, and we learn the most depressing ones possible. And we did Padraig O'Conaire's Scothscealta instead of An Triall or A Thig na Thit Orm, a book in which someone dies in EVERY story. :( /rant.

Arghs: Slow internet. I want a new vinyl player, but all the cheap ones are those sh*te ones that are like "Ooooh you can now put your vinyl's on CD or MP3".... which completely misses the point of vinyl imho. :(

I'm so tired that I didn't even know what day it was today. And I have college tomorrow, despite it being the Open Day. BLEHHHH. I have too much to do to trek up to Dublin for what is pretty much a pointless class!

Also feeling rather crappy about myself. Silly boy-related feelings of inadequacy.

I've been forced into helping out at the general DIT open day tomorrow. I also have to wear my full chefs uniform including gay necktie and hat.

I could really do with using tomorrow to study. Feck that.

Also, who knew this baking shít was so scientific. I don't care about the chemical reactions of baking soda with potassium acid tartrate and buttermilk. I just want to make cakes.

Who knew this engineering shit was so scientific. I don't care about the reaction between CuSO4 and Zn, I just want to build skyscrapers.

I'm just being dramatic, don't worry! :) Feel sick and slightly panicky but all will be grand in a few days. My severe lack of sleep just makes everything seem super overwhelming, so things that would normally be super overwhelming anyway are supermassive overwhelming, if that makes sense (which it probably doesn't) :p Thanks for asking though! :)

Argh my head is hopping and I have to study. Not in the moooood!

Fairly sure I sprained my finger setting up for the open day. It happened around two, so I spent the rest of the day trying to do all the work -like carrying boxes of prospectuses, putting up banners, setting up tables and chairs- with one hand. I didn't want to complain or make a big deal out of it, so I only mentioned it when I had to, fairly sure I came across as a total dead weight. I have to be in at half seven tomorrow morning, so not looking forward to dragging myself out of bed for that time.

Edit: Just realized this is usually the time of year I get injured and spend a few weeks on crutches, maybe my annual foot related injuries has become just an annual injury.

Every time I have a burst of lovely, effective study motivation I end up getting horribly sick shortly afterwards. I hate this, I don't even have it in me to get up and get my phone two metres away, never mind learning reams of Irish notes. I have absolutely no intention of going to school like this though, meaning I miss some rather big tests which is actually a bit annoying (I'm weird) seeing as I actually have studied for them and feel that I'd do quite well in them.

I have odd aaaarrrggggghhhhs but I'm in quite an FML mood at the moment. Bleeeeeeh, I want to be well. So sick of being so sick all the time...

All that's preventing me curling up in a ball and crying at the prospect of this semester's exams is..........well...............actually.... I don't know..... *curls up in ball and cries*

My own fault I suppose.... next semester will be different... I know I said that after first year, but this time's different.... I've never ever been in serious danger of failing and having to repeat before.... I don't want to be here again.
