How to get gigs

Hi guys I'm new to actually getting gigs. Do I just approach pubs? Should I call or call in person? I am the lead singer in two piece acoustic set up. Any advice appreciated, I have business cards and a website

Check the website of the pub, or call in. For both cases, just find the person who handles bookings.

Call in person - managers/owners want to get a feel for you first before they ever ask about what you play.
