This is being run in conjunction with the Boards Photobook Launch (which takes place in DCC that night, all are welcome).
This walk is open to everyone with a camera.
    • You DON'T have to be going to the book launch.
    • You DON'T have to have a photo in the book.
    • You DON'T need to know what all the settings on your camera do (hell I don't know half of mine, I just organise walks)
    • You DON'T have to start at the start, just text me when you are in the city/nearby
    Start Time: 1pm
Start Point: Top of Grafton St / Entrance to St. Stephens Green
    Going to:
(through St. Stephens Green) Cuffe St
    - St. Patrick's Cathedral (daylight)
    - Christchurch
    - Temple Bar (street market on Sat) (stop in Porterhouse Bar Temple Bar for Lunch/dinner/rest)
    - Central Bank
    - Trinity St
    - Dame Lane (should be getting dark by now 4:30ish)
    - behind Dublin Castle (Chester Beatty Library)
    - TBC
    - St. Patricks Cathedral (night)
    - stumble back to Against the Grain (6ish)

Against the Grain is a small bit down the street from the DCC.
    The launch is at 8pm.

    • If you have any suggestions for deviations then please message here or PM me.
    • As said before - Everybody with a camera is welcome. You might want a Tripod for the dark/night part (but then you got to carry it throughout the day)
    • For people new to this 'Photowalk' idea - it is always free (well mine always are)
    • Tell me here that you will be along at some point so I can PM you my number, and PLEASE pm me back yours.
    See you there!

"Hop skip & click photowalk" - what a great title :P

Looking forward to it - will try make it along for a while before I have to go bring the books to DCC :D

    Getting excited!

Just got confirmed that I have to be in Lucan for the day - well form 9am until about 4pm. So I'll miss that photowalk :(
But will be there in time to open DCC for the launch itself...Hope I can stay awake for the party ;)

Nearly 500 views, 9 likes...... will I be having the middle ground? 245 would be a hand full but I will settle for 100! :P

There is a good chance we will be stopping in to SineadW and Da_kar's Exhibition in Temple Bar along the way, just before The Porterhouse Temple Bar.

Remember you have to tell me if you are going to get my number (best way of keeping track of us if you are joining later)

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,319 ✭✭✭sineadw

I should be there. And i already have your number :P

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,368 ✭✭✭Fionn

i'd certainly be up for that, but as i'm not actually traveling alone I'll have to check with my partner!! Might want to see the shops
and of course all depends what time we arrive in Dublin.

Ok. Does anybody know Patrick's handle on here? (Blond guy on the photowalk) And Patrick, were you asking me about the motorbike shot I have in the Photobook?

(I am known for having a terrible memory, for example I don't remember how I got home last night:p)

I think I was too busy blathering and making friends, cos I didn't get any shots I'm overly enamoured with! Here's one or two anyhow...
