    Confirmed.
    http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2011-09-26-nintendo-eshop-update-29-09-11

Hands up who wants a new single player 2D Zelda game to play? :)
This week's eShop update gifts gamers a free and updated version of The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords.

Nintendo also adds Game Boy classic Super Mario Land 2: 6 Golden Coins on the 3DS Virtual Console.

Four Swords is a multiplayer-focused flavour of Zelda for up to four players.
This new Anniversary Edition adds single-player support and two extra areas.

3DS and DSi users get the download free to mark the legendary series' 25th anniversary. It will be available until 20th February next year.

For Super Mario Land 2, Nintendo's asking £3.50/€4. The plumber's excellent second Game Boy outing introduced evil alter ego Wario.

Elsewhere on WiiWare, Pop developer Nnooo launches retro-themed puzzler escapeVektor: Chapter 1 for 500 Points (about £3.50).

Nintendo's shop updates go live this Thursday.

the 2D zeldas are by far my favorites, would dearly love a sequal to Phantom/Spirt Tracks on 3DS, could look great in 3D. Sadly I think its unlikely now we have had a 3D zelda on the system already.

I think you missed my point. :)

I have never played Four Swords, and they've added single player support for this edition (the original game was multiplayer only). Therefore, this Wednesday I have a new single player 2D Zelda game to enjoy. :)

Really slim pickings this week. One miserable release (Golf for the Gameboy).
It would have been better to skip a week.

Japan have the GBC release though :( it's a pity Nintendo couldn't work on bringing over the superior versions of games like that...

"Freakyforms: Your Creations, Alive!" (i.e.: Picture Lives) is due out next week in the US now, hopefully we'll also get it! :) Original 3DS downloads are good....
    FreakyForms_01.jpg
REDMOND, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Halloween is over, but there’s still plenty of time to bring inanimate objects to life. A creative new portable game from Nintendo lets players colorize their worlds in their own personal palettes and bring to life bizarre and bubbly creatures of every conceivable crazy incarnation. Freakyforms™: Your Creations, Alive!, a downloadable game for the Nintendo 3DS™ system, gives you that chance and even lets you swap your creatures with other creators.

Using the stylus on the touch screen, players build their own custom creatures, called “formees.” No drawing skills are needed, so players of all ages can give it a try. Young players can make their creatures from simple geometric shapes, while players with more artistic abilities can challenge themselves to create more intricate and detailed creatures. Then they can customize the color and the look, and add eyes and a mouth. Players can even add wings to make their creatures fly or giant bouncy legs to make them hop along. The creative combinations are endless.

Once the formee is assembled, it comes to life and is able to explore its environment. As players use their characters to investigate their world, their formees munch on food and lay eggs that can be broken open to collect coins for buying items or parts. Players can even open a treasure box and unlock the ability to redesign elements in the game world. Don’t like puffy, white clouds? Make them purple with pink polka-dots or black and spiky.

The more pictures that a player makes, the larger the game world grows and the more areas there are to explore. Players will also accumulate more shapes and formee parts to make even more interesting characters. For example, wings, wheels and engines can be unlocked, along with fun accessories like hats and ties.

Formees can explore beyond the world that players create. People who activate the StreetPass™ feature can also wirelessly swap characters with other players. Additionally, players can make a QR code of their creatures and trade or collect them with others.

Freakyforms: Your Creations, Alive! launches in the Nintendo eShop on Nov. 10 and will sell for $6.99 in the United States. For more information about the game, visit http://freakyforms.nintendo.com.

Metroid 2 is the first game I got hooked on, I remember ignoring the world for days (back when I could do that)!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,507 ✭✭✭nitromaster

Think i'll unfortunately have to skip on Metroid 2.....played 2 minutes of the free ambassador title before throwing it to the side :P Only experience so far with a Metroid title is Hunters (which i was doing pretty well in before getting lost )
Anyone think i should attempt to plough through it with the aid of a walkthrough or should i just try my hand at the free version of Metroid Fusion out next month?

Also Zen Pinball 3D by Zen Studios out next week in Europe, finally seems to be a flow of 3DSWare :) €5.

Castlebar is my local Gamestop too, and the reason I came to this forum just now was to ask about these voucher things.

Great minds think alike/live locally :P

No 3DSware or Virtual Console titles this week :(
    3DS eShop
Eurosport application (free) — This new video application is part of a new partnership between Nintendo and Eurosport. Featuring clips from the WATTS series it's set to get new content every week well into next year.
    DSiWare
Elite Forces: Unit 77 (Abylight, 800pts) — A downloadable revamp of a DS retail title, we'll see if this turns-based strategy has all the right moves in our upcoming review.
Cake Ninja (Cypronia, 500pts) — It's Fruit Ninja but with cakes. We'll sink our teeth into this and bring you a review soon.
Escape Trick: Ninja Castle (INTENSE Co., 500pts) — Another escape-the-room game from INTENSE, sadly this isn't quite one to get you racing towards a purchase, as our Escape Trick: Ninja Castle review explains.
    WiiWare
Paint Splash (KnapNok Games, 500pts) — Create artistic masterpieces in this budget art game that's actually surprisingly good: our Paint Splash review explains why.

    Nintendo 3DS Download Software

Nintendo Letter Box (Nintendo, free) — The 3DS finally gets its messaging application with Nintendo Letter Box, to be called Swapnote in North America. Send photos, sounds and 2D or 3D pictures and notes to your friends via SpotPass or StreetPass, all for free.

Mighty Switch Force (WayForward, €6/£5.40) — WayForward's mighty puzzler arrives in time to nestle under the Christmas tree. Read our Mighty Switch Force preview for more and expect our review very soon.

    3DS Virtual Console

Tetris (Nintendo, Game Boy, €4/£3.60) — No, your eyes don't deceive you: that is a €4/£3.60 price on the original Game Boy Tetris. It may be stacked full of quality gaming but is it worth that much? We'll tell you in a review soon.

    DSiWare

Castle Conqueror – Heroes (CIRCLE Entertainment, 500pts) — We were actually expecting this one a little later, but now it's got a date with the Christmas turkey. The best in the series by far, read our Castle Conqueror – Heroes review for more.

Commando: Steel Disaster (Cinemax, 800pts) — A Metal Slug-like shooter, converted from a DS retail title, we'll see if this is a headshot or just firing blanks soon.

    WiiWare

Football Up! (EnjoyUp Games, 500pts) — Four-player family football fun with Mii characters. It shoots, but does it score? Review soon.

    WiiWare Demo

MotoHeroz (free, full game: 1500pts) — A free bit of one of the best games on WiiWare. You'll definitely want to read our MotoHeroz review.
Letterbox + Mighty Switch Force this week for me i think (Along with picking up Pullblox finally)
There's a DSiWare Tetris game for 5 euro which is probably a better bet, i've already got that one anyway.
