Up there with Gadaffi himself, Chris DeBurgh. Could be worse though, could be Mick Hucknall

Sylvain Marveaux (who LFC rejected after the medical) is out for 4 months after groin surgery.

Extended highlights of the 5-1 win over Sunderland reserves from the other day.

Posted he was going for the op last week, Pardew said after the op last week he was out until new year, now hes out for 4 months. Would it surprise anyone if he didnt play another game this year?. Nice cash for a couple of starts.

I'm half expecting City to play with width and go with the likes of Johnson and Milner tbh.

Johnson did absolute wreck against us last year and could very easily do the same this year. We've always been susceptible to a team who play with good wingers I feel.

That said, having Enrique makes a massive, massive difference.

I'm strangely optimistic about the City game for some reason but still not going to put the jinx on us by predicting the win. I'll go 1-3 to City.:D

It's not like Anfield is much better. Roughly £40 for a cat C game when the equivalent at Goodison is £25

Reina on soccer am. Best trainer at Liverpool - Jay Spearing. Worst - Andy Carroll, ''He doesn't move too many yards''. Bad sign if even a team mate is saying he's lazy in training

Obviously not, but their difficulties aren't down to low ticket prices. Relatively, is there as big a gap between Chelsea and the rest of the London clubs in terms of ticket prices as there is between Liverpool and Everton?

This year I've been to Anfied, Parkhead, Goodison, the Millenator, Tallaght and Turner's Cross. Anfield is by a stretch the most expensive. Obviously the football is better, but that's about all that's better.

Its not down to getting what you pay for, because you get far more else where, its down to demand and supply. Liverpool know they'll sell out at these prices, and so are only trying to maximise revenues. We slate Chelsea for their £59 tickets, but it they could sell Anfield out at that price, I'm sure they would

The only ground there that could really be used by way of comparison is Goodison as it is the only one belonging to a club in the same league and country.

Am amazed that you don't think the standard of the ground/stadium itself is not better than the league of Ireland grounds, and that you do not see it as being better than Goodison which is somewhat run down at this point.

So Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are Liverpool fans eh, I always said that they were brilliant actors. :pac:

Yea the point about the other grounds was in answer to ''you get what you pay for''. Obviously the likes of Parkhead, Anfield and Goodison are in a different league to the others, but my point referred more to the atmosphere and craic, both in and around the ground, as oppose to the standard of the ground itself. As an example, I think most would prefer a smaller older ground with an atmosphere to a brand new big ground that's dead. The Aviva, which I forgot to mention earlier is a prime example of this for certain games

Heard a transfer rumour that ourselves and Juventus are in for the same guy in January. Can't for the life of me remember his name. Any ideas?

Looks like Carroll will be on the bench tomorrow. Think this would be a wish call. Wouldn't like to start with 2 up front against City even if we're at home!

Bruno Alves, tough-tackling Portuguese centre half. On Kenny's radar apparently.
